If your AirTag is not working or you're facing other issues, the very first thing you should do is check the battery and replace it if required. If battery isn't an issue, try fixes like resetting the AirTag, removing and re-adding it, making sure 2FA is enabled, enabling Find My, turning on Precise Location for Find My and updating your iPhone to the latest version.

An AirTag comes with a user-replaceable CR2032 battery that can easily last you up to one year. You can use the Find My app to track your AirTag's battery life so you know when is the right time to get a replacement. Once the battery runs out, you can get a 3-volt lithium coin cell battery from any electronic or drug store.
