Nintendo has officially announced a Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase for February 21, 2024 at 6:00 am PT. During the showcase, several partner studios and publishers of Nintendo will showcase the games that are planned to launch for the first half of 2024 on Nintendo Switch. The showcase will stream live on the official Nintendo of America and Japan channels on YouTube.

Microsoft is looking to expand its player base through non-exclusivity. In the recent business podcast, Phil Spencer officially declares four Xbox-exclusive games coming to PS5 and Nintendo Switch. While the games are not confirmed by Microsoft there are speculations of these games to be Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, Sea of Thieves, and Grounded.

Nintendo Switch 2 is an upcoming handheld gaming console, and a new rumor now suggests it will support backwards compatibility. With this, the new Switch 2 will be able to play older games. On top of backwards compatibility, the leak also mentions that Nintendo Switch 2 could run these older games with optimizations with visual quality being upgraded. Apart from this, new rumors also state that a hardware reveal for Nintendo is happening next month, and new games will be showcased next week.

The GDC 2024 survey has revealed that many developers are excited to develop games for Nintendo Switch 2. In fact, the 'Nintendo Switch successor' interests 32% of developers. Moreover, the survey has confirmed that 8% developers are already working on new game titles for the Nintendo Switch 2. The GDC 2024 survey was held with over 3000 developers, some of which work in AAA studios.

In a CES 2024 press release, Altec Lansing has revealed that its new Gameshark revival software AI Shark's release will coincide with the Nintendo Switch 2. According to the press release, the AI Shark and Nintendo Switch 2 is set to launch in September 2024. However, AI Shark insiders have called this a guesswork as Nintendo did not reveal any hardware related details to anyone yet.
