OnePlus seems to have pulled all the OxygenOS ROM/firmware files of all devices from their servers, and leaving thousands of Custom ROM users on OnePlus devices stuck with their favorite third-party ROMs. The Oxygen Update app had also been effected until the developer figured out a workaround which is live in version 6.4.0 of the app.
OxygenOS 15 will be released later this year, and it should bring a few new features, mainly in the customization front. Some of the expected features that we may see are the new lock screen customizations, dynamic pill and quick settings improvements, and app archiving.
OxygenOS 14 brought a lot of features but after recently switching to OnePlus, I've realized that the OS could do great if OnePlus adds a few new features and improves some of the existing ones. Some of them are an improved media player, a Desktop Mode, and a Quick Settings revamp.
I recently purchased OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition and switched from a Pixel 6 which served me for almost three years. Although I despised OnePlus' decision to merge the ColorOS and OxygenOS codebases, buying the OnePlus 12R meant I had to shift from Pixel's clean UI to OxygenOS (ColorOS). After trying it I can say that I don't hate it, rather it feels like a breath of fresh air.
