Closely following the rollout of the final HydrogenOS update for the OnePlus 6 in China, OnePlus has now started seeding the much-awaited OxygenOS 5.1.6 OTA (over-the-air) update for global OnePlus 6 users, especially those in Europe.

This update brings along portrait mode to the front camera, fixes dual-SIM stability issues, adds battery percentage icon to the status bar, and other performance improvements.

The size of the OxygenOS 5.1.6 update is 223MB, and it seems to be rolling out in Europe (Germany and France) and Canada right now.

Portrait Selfies

This has been one of the most-awaited updates for OnePlus 6 users as it adds the ability to click selfie portraits to the device. Not only that, the rear-camera portrait mode has also bagged a minor upgrade and you can now preview the light bokeh effect in real-time (similar to Live Bokeh on Nokia 7 plus) on the OnePlus 6.

Battery Percentage

Another feature that OnePlus 6 had been requesting since launch is the ability to show the battery percentage indicator in the status bar. It was moved in the notification shade to save space around the notch, but OnePlus listened to the community and added the same back to the status bar with this OxygenOS update.

Other Changes

Other changes include the ability to schedule do-not-disturb (DND) mode, adjust the dual-4G network options and optimize the call quality. OnePlus has even updated its Earphone Mode settings to now allow you to automatically attend calls when you have a Bluetooth headset hooked to the device.
