How to Get Rough Amber in LEGO Fortnite

LEGO Fortnite is a cool game where you will need to constantly find new resources to upgrade your tools. One such useful resource is rough amber, which can be refined to obtain cut amber, can help you upgrade structures, or unlock other useful recipes. So, if you are finding it difficult to find and obtain rough amber in LEGO Fortnite, we have your back. In this guide, we explain where you can find rough amber and the tools you need to mine it.

Where Can You Find Rough Amber

To obtain rough ambers, you will need to travel to the dry valley (desert biome) areas. As there is no exact way to locate or teleport to a particular biome or cave in LEGO Fortnite, you will have to find the desert area through exploration.

Once you are in the desert, look for mountains. You will notice a bunch of yellow stones peeking out of the mountain walls. They are the rough amber stones we are looking for. With the necessary tools, you can mine them and collect rough amber.

Tools You Need to Mine Rough Amber

You will need an Uncommon or higher variant of Pickaxe to break the rough amber ore same as collecting marble. You can follow the steps below to craft it. Furthermore, ensure you have Frost Berries or a cool-headed charm for the warm weather.

We also recommend you carry some additional wood with you. These woods will help you build stairs to reach higher mountains before you start mining rough ambers.

1. Upgrade Your Crafting Bench

Before you craft an Uncommon Pickaxe, you will need to upgrade your crafting bench to level 2. You need 8 planks and 3 shells to upgrade your Crafting Bench to Level 2, and here is how to go about it.

• Open your Crafting Bench and go to the Bench Upgrade tab.
• Now, click the upgrade button (F key on PC, X on Xbox, Square on PS, and Y on Switch) if you have the necessary ingredients.

2. Craft Uncommon Pickaxe

Once you have upgraded the bench, it’s time to make the uncommon pickaxe. To begin, you need to obtain 3 knotroot rods and 3 bones to craft it. Convert the knotroot to knotroot rods in the Lumber Mill, and then proceed with the steps below:

• Go to your Crafting Bench and find the Uncommon Pickaxe recipe.
• Now, click the craft button (F key on PC, X on Xbox, Square on PS, and Y on Switch) to make an Uncommon Pickaxe.

Importance of Rough Amber in LEGO Fortnite

Collecting rough amber unlocks a lot of new recipes and upgrade options that help you in mid-game progression. Once you collect rough amber, build a Gem Cutter to polish and refine stones like Cut Amber. The Cut Amber will help you craft and upgrade a lot of tools.

Do not use up all your rough ambers in the Gem Cutter as rough amber will also come in handy for building vehicles, charms, new structures, and much more.
