Robin’s kit is very simple, while being highly effective. She is a support unit with good sub-DPS abilities. Here is everything we know about her kit and how to optimally play Robin’s best build in Honkai Star Rail.

  • Wingflip White Noise (Basic Attack): Deals Physical Damage equal to 100% of Robin’s attack to a single enemy.
  • Pinion’s Aria (Skill): Increases damage dealt by all allies by 50% for 3 turns. The duration of this skill decreases by 1 at the start of Robin’s turn.
  • Vox Harmonique, Opus Cosmique (Ultimate): She enters the Concerto state and allows all allies to take immediate action. In the Concerto state, Robin increases Attack of all allies by 22.8% of Robin’s Attack plus 200. Furthermore, Robin deals Physical damage equal to 120% of her attack for 1 time after every attack from an ally. The Crit Rate for this damage is set at 100% and Crit Damage is set at 150%. Additionally, in Concerto State, Robin is immune to Crowd Control debuffs and cannot enter her turn or take action. The Concerto state ends when the Concerto countdown’s turn begins, which has a 90 Speed. Robin takes immediate action after exiting the Concerto state.

  • Tonal Resonance (Talent): Crit Damage of all allies is increased by 20%. Additionally, Robin regenerates 2 energy when allies attack enemy targets.
  • Overture of Inebriation (Technique): Creates a dimension for 15 seconds which prevents enemies from attacking Robin. Furthermore, enemies withing the dimension will follow Robin until the dimension ends. After entering battle, Robin regenerates 5 energy at the start of each wave.

Robin’s kit Skill gives 50% damage increase to all allies for 3 turns, making it a very strong support ability. The effect turn reduces at the start of Robin’s turn, so the uptime for the effect is very good, making her a Skill positive character.

Her Ultimate is the main source of Damage for Robin, as it puts her in the Concerto state, increasing the Attack of all the allies and dealing Physical damage to enemies when her allies attack targets. The Physical damage dealt by Robin during this state has a 100% Crit Rate and 150% Crit Damage. The Concerto state will last for 1 or 1 and a half turn cycle, calculating based on the 90 speed of the countdown.

Robin’s talent additionally increases the Crit Damage of allies by another 20% and generates 2 energy for her each time her allies attack targets. Her Technique is great for herding a lot of enemies together and starting the fight with all of them at the same time.

When it comes to her ideal cycle rotation, use her Skill and continue using her Basic attack to recharge energy. Once you have full energy, use her Skill and then use her Ultimate to get both the buffs on the allies. This way you can use all her buffs correctly, getting the best out of Robin’s best HSR build.

  • 4-piece Musketeer of Wild Wheat
  • 4-piece Messenger Traversing Hackerspace
  • 2-piece Musketeer of Wild Wheat and 2-piece Messenger Traversing Hackerspace

The 4-piece Musketeer of Wild Wheat is the best Relic set for Robin as it increases her Attack, Speed and Basic Attack Damage. Alternatively, you can also use the 4-piece Messenger Traversing Hackerspace for Robin’s best build to increase the Speed of all the allies when using her Ultimate.

Other than that, you can also use a 2-piece Musketeer of Wild Wheat and 2-piece Messenger Traversing Hackerspace for increased Attack and Speed for Robin.

Best Planar Ornaments for Robin in HSR

  • 2-piece Space Sealing Station
  • 2-piece Broken Keel

The 2-piece Space Sealing Station is the best Planar Ornament for Robin as it gives her a significant Attack boost when she has 120 speed. Alternatively, you can also use the 2-piece Broken Keel set, which gives a 10% Crit Damage increase to allies when the wearer has 30% or more Effect Resistance.

Robin Main and Sub Stats for her Relics and Planar Ornaments

Robin’s buff from her Ultimate scales on her Attack and doesn’t have a max limit yet. So, prioritize stacking as much Attack on Robin as possible for Robin’s Best Build, which will also increase her Physical Attack damage. Next, prioritize on her HP to keep her alive, Speed and Effect Resistance, to meet either the Broken Keel or Space Sealing Station requirements.

You can also use an Energy Regeneration Rope on her, but she has enough ways to regenerate energy that I feel it’s better to focus on stacking Attack.

Best Light Cones for Robin Build in HSR

  • Flowing Nightglow (Signature Light Cone)
  • For Tomorrow’s Journey
  • Planetary Rendezvous

Robin has some good Light Cone options. Flowing Nightglow is the best Light Cone for Robin, which is also her signature Light Cone. For Tomorrow’s Journey is a good alternative as it increases her Attack, which is a free Light Cone released in version 2.2.

Other than that, Planetary Rendezvous is another good choice if you have a Physical DPS in the team or playing a mono-physical team.

HSR Robin Eidolons

  • Land of Smiles (E1): Increases all allies’ All Type Resistance Penetration by 24% when they attack while Robin is in Concerto state.
  • Afternoon Tea for Two (E2): Talent’s Crit Damage Boost effect additionally increases by 16% and the Energy Regeneration effect increases by 1 Energy.
  • Inverted Tuning (E3): Skill Level + 2, up to Level 15 max, Ultimate Level + 2, up to Level 15 max.
  • Raindrop Key (E4): Dispels Crowd Control Debuffs from all allies when Robin uses her Ultimate. Additionally, increases Effect Resistance of all allies by 50% while Robin is in the Concerto state.
  • Lonestar’s Lament (E5): Basic Attack Level + 1, up to Level 10 max, Talent Level + 2, up to Level 15 max.
  • Moonless Midnight (E6): While in the Concerto state, the CRIT DMG of the Additional Physical DMG caused by the Ultimate increases by 450%. The Moonless Midnight effect can be triggered up to 8 times. The trigger count is reset when Robin uses her Ultimate.

Robin’s Eidolons are extremely powerful, especially her E1 and E2. Her E1 increases the All Type Resistance penetration of all allies in the Concerto state by 24%, which is insane. Her E2 further increases her Talent’s Crit Damage boost for allies by another 16%. Although, Robin is very strong without her Eidolons, I will recommend you go for her E1 at least if you have the spare Stellar Jades and you want to build the best Robin.

Robin Traces and Ascension Abilities in HSR

Ascension Abilities:

  • Coloratura Cadenza (Ascension 2): Robin’s Action is advanced forward by 25% when the battle begins.
  • Impromptu Flourish (Ascension 4): Crit Damage dealt by Follow up attacks of all allies is increased by 25% during Robin’s Concerto state.
  • Sequential Passage (Ascension 6): Additionally Regenerates 5 energy when using her Skill.

Stat Boosts:

  • HP Boost: 18%
  • Attack Boost: 28%
  • Speed Boost: 5

When it comes to Robin’s Ascension Trace abilities, her A4 increases Follow-up attack damage from allies by 25%, making her very strong for Follow-up teams. Her A6 is also very useful as it regenerates additional 5 energy when she uses her Skill. Overall, her Ascension abilities are worth investing, but you can skip her A4 if you don’t have any Follow up attacking DPS unit.

Robin can be an asset in almost all Hyper carry teams, however, her A4 Trace ability makes her significantly stronger for Follow-up attack-focused teams. Robin’s best team will feature Clara, alongside Topaz, and Aventurine.

She can also be great alongside Dr. Ratio. Other DPS units like Jingliu, Dan Heng IL, Blade, Seele, or Argenti can also use Robin in their teams. Qingque with her E4 can create a very strong F2P team with Robin.
