Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae is a High Elder Vidyadhara of the Xianzhou Luofu who was reincarnated from Dan Feng, the last Imbibitor Lunae. Dan Feng was part of the high cloud quintet, with Jing Yuan, Jingliu, Blade and, Baiheng, a group of five heroes in Xianzhou history. He later committed an unforgivable crime against the Luofu and was forced to undergo hatching rebirth, and reincarnated in Dan Heng.

Vidyadhara are a part of Long Scions, who are a dragon-like species that go hatching rebirth. During the hatching rebirth, a Vidyadhara gets reincarnated in their body, prolonging their life span indefinitely. However, Vidyadharas are not immortal and can die if they are severely wounded, which prevents them from undergoing hatching rebirth.
