Xiaomi Ropes in Influential YouTubers to Promote Folding Scooter, Power Bank in US

Xiaomi is huge in China and India as well as in Europe, but the company is slowly trying to make inroads in the United States market as well.

Even though Xiaomi is yet to officially launch a smartphone in the US market, the company recently brought a number of accessories like headphones and a 360-degree camera to US buyers. And it’s now pushing for a big breakthrough with a new marketing campaign in the country.

Xiaomi’s latest promotional strategy is centered around creating awareness about its lesser-known products, specifically the Mi Electric Scooter and Mi Power Bank Pro, by partnering with renowned YouTubers like Wolfie, Wongfu Productions, and Austin Evans to garner some limelight and attract the attention of users.

Austin Evans and Wong Fu Productions have already released YouTube videos promoting the 10,000 mAh Mi Power Bank Pro as well as the MiJia Folding Electric Scooter. In fact, you would see many US-based YouTube creators promoting the Mi Power Bank Pro as well.

Xiaomi’s reinvigorated marketing campaign in the US was initially kicked off at the New York Fashion Week earlier this year, when celebrities Paris Hilton (now a DJ, it would seem), fashion blogger Bryan Boy, and supermodel Alla Kostromichova among others promoting the Xiaomi Mi Power Bank Pro.

Both the devices are already available from Amazon in the US.

The 10,000mAh Mi Power Bank Pro is listed for $25.95 on Amazon, however, the device currently seems to be out of stock and will be up for grabs on May 2, 2018.

The Mi Electric Scooter is priced at $499.99 and is already available on Amazon.
