Santa Monica recently began the God of War Laufey pre-orders on September 29, so no one expected that a delay was imminent, especially after the 20-minute showcase at the June State of Play. However, the delay will help the developers to add final gameplay adjustment and touches before the God of War story continues on May 20, 2027.
