  • Remedy has revealed in their latest financial report that Control Resonant is among the top-three pre-ordered PS5 games in the US, Germany, and Brazil.
  • Control Resonant reached a milestone of 1.5 million wishlists when it was announced.
  • Remedy is optimistic for the upcoming quarter, ahead of the launch of Control Resonant on September 24, 2026.

Remedy surprised fans by making Control Resonant’s 48-hour early access period exclusive to PS5, a decision that drew criticism from PC and Xbox players. However, Remedy’s latest financial report suggests the decision may have paid off, with Control Resonant ranking among the top three most pre-ordered games on PlayStation 5 in the US.

According to Remedy’s latest half-year financial report, published on August 11, 2026. Control Resonant is garnering immense love from gamers worldwide.

Remedy writes in their report, “As of August 11th, 2026, we have over 1.5 million wishlists across platforms. Pre-orders opened with healthy momentum, and our data indicates the game is tracking well against comparable titles.”

The game joins major upcoming releases like GTA 6, which continues to generate strong pre-order demand despite selling a 100$ Ultimate Edition. Marvel’s Wolverine is also among the top pre-ordered games, and despite being relatively less mainstream, Control Resonant achieving this feat is remarkable.

The report also discusses how current sales of Remedy’s previous titles like Alan Wake 2 and Control continue the momentum in the second quarter. Alan Wake 2 has now sold more than 3 million copies, contributing significantly to Remedy’s finances this year. However, Remedy has registered financial losses despite the strong sales of previous titles.

The company points out that the reason behind the decline in sales and royalties was caused by last year’s three-player cooperative first-person shooter game FBC: Firebreak. The game struggled to attract new players, while most of its revenue during the second quarter came from subscription-service agreements rather than direct sales.

The strong pre-order performance of Control Resonant keeps the company hopeful for its future. Remedy plans to accelerate its marketing efforts ahead of the game’s launch. Alongside this, Remedy is also reportedly working on a new project and Max Payne 1 and 2 remakes alongside Rockstar Games.

Control Resonant releases on September 24, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
