CES 2015 has stood up to what its original purpose was, to showcase amazing tech that stands up like nothing else. We saw so much amazing stuff at the event that it is truly hard to choose from. CES brought out a shiny showcase of tech in the true Vegas fashion.  CES We have looked at every product that CES threw up with glossy eyes and wanting hearts. Whether it be major companies such as Samsung or startups, everyone wanted to show their innovative side. CES, like every year showed us what the future will be like.

Among the sea of processors, phones, TVs, headphones, wearables, apps, chargers and scores of other kinds of tech, there were some products that just stood out and projected sheer brilliance.

Here is our pick from CES 2015:

Best Smartphone

This one undoubtedly goes to the LG G Flex 2. Trust LG to wake up from its failures and bounce back again. LG is back with its curved screen phone. But it is no longer a fringe, experimental phone, rather, it is now a mainstream phone with a smaller size screen display. The phone is bright, sharp and equipped with a 5.5-inch OLED display. Inside, it is equipped with one of the best processors out there – the Snapdragon 810. It comes in 2GB/3GB RAM and 16/32 GB versions. Along with that, it comes with a 13-megapixel rear cam and a 2.1-megapixel front cam. It comes with Dura Guard glass, which is more durable than the Corning Gorilla Glass. It also has the self-healing properties that were there on the LG G flex.

Simply put, the LG G Flex 2 is an ideal mix of the LG G Flex and LG G3.

Best Accessory

This crown goes to the Lenovo Vibe Xtension selfie flash. Lenovo wants to cash in on the selfie trend, and it has brought out something that will ring a bell with all selfie lovers out there. Lenovo’s ring LED is something that will make sure that your selfies are focussed, and not washed out even when taken in adverse conditions.

The Lenovo Xtension selfie flash has 8 LED for great lighting that you can actually carry in your pocket. It works simply by fitting in your phone’s 3.5 mm audio jack. The Xtension flash doesn’t work only with Lenovo phones, but with all phones having a 3.5mm audio jack. It is not too expensive either, at just $29.

Best USB stick

Our vote goes to the Keysaa Contactless USB3.0. Keysaa is a startup but has amazing stuff to showcase. Keysaa has created an innovative USB stick that does not need to be plugged into your device. How does it do this?

Well, Keysaa uses a 60 GHz spectrum to deliver 6 GBPS bandwidth. It doesn’t suck power either. While it cannot work by being too far from the device, yet it might be a sneak peek into the future of USBs.

Best Kitchen Gadget

Our  desi flavor was there at the CES with the Rotimatic – a robot that pumps put fresh rotis. This might just be the dream gadget of many housewife and well, some husbands too!

It can actually hold up flour for 20 rotis, and produces a roti per minute. It also lets you customize your rotis according to softness, thickness and the amount of oil. All you have to do is put in the ingredients and press a button.

Best Wearable

This one goes to the very flashy Misfit Swaroski Shine. Why? Because it has all the flashy-ness that you need in a variable along with addressing the most pertinent issue that we face with wearables – Battery troubles.

Swaroski and Misfit have paired to come out with a wearable that you will not just enjoy using but also pairing with your suit at a gala. It not only tracks your steps and sleep, but flashes at you the shiny embellished Swaroski crystal. But the biggest twist is a cut crystal that actually has embedded solar panels inside, which will harness the sun’s energy to power the device. And you needn’t walk around in sweltering heat to chrge it and it can charge from any light source within 15 minutes.

Best Gaming PC

It seems like we have been playing on the same kind of PCs for ages. Ready for a change, well, one look at the  Cyber Power Trinity will change the way you think about gaming. It has three cooling pads encompassed in a three-pronged structure, of three spokes. One spoke holds the motherboard, CPU, cooling system, the other one a graphics card and the third a power supply unit. The second one can also run a dual-card system powered by an Intel Core i7 -4790K processor, a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 graphics card and I kid you not, 3 512 GB SSDs. This is the dream every gamer has been dreaming for so long.

Best TV

This one goes to the LG EG9900 4K HDTV. It is a flat 4K OLED TV with all its 77-inch goodness that produces great contrast and accurate colors. The curved screen technology has been taken to the next level by LG. What more can you ask in a TV? Curved Screen, check. 4K display, check. Smart TV capability with the WebOS, check. A flat, big-screen, check. The cherry on the cake is its gesture control – it can actually curve and flatten out at the wave of a remote as you want it to.

The LG EG9900 has the clarity that leaves all TVs out there behind it.

Best Storage Device

This device actually created a lot of waves at CES – the Samsung Portable SSD T1. It is a portable hard disk that is size of your visiting card – 2.8-inches x 0.4-inches. It comes in 250 GB, 500 GB and 1 TB versions, with prices ranging from $179-559. It weighs less than an ounce and a 3D V-NAND flash memory. It supports USB 3.0 and transfer rates up to 450 MBPS along with AES 256-bit encryption.

Best Charging Solution

Disruptive tech is something that we all swear by. How about a charging station that charges your devices from 15 feet away? Energous WattUp does that. Think about charging your smartwatch, your phone and your tablet, not even needing to plug them in. Sounds pretty cool, right?

Power woes? Never again.

Best Car

Yes, you read that right. We have a category of the ‘best car’ from CES 2015 and it is undoubtedby the Mercedes F105, self-driving car. It screams luxury and has amazing design with LEDs in front and back. It is equipped with four rotating chairs inside. It is the car of the future that you want and you need.

CES threw up some wonderful stuff. Whether it is the Samsung 4K TV or BMW’s anti-collision system, CES was a window to how the future will be. It was sheer amazement at show. We can just keep our  fingers crossed that some of these make it to the stands this year. The future is bright, as CES has shown us.
