In this scenario, the adult will be hostile towards the player. If you damage the cub, all adults within a 41×21×41 area become hostile toward you.
Adult polar bears also turn hostile when alone if the player attacks them first. These ice lovers also naturally attack foxes. They are as fast as a player while swimming, so it can be difficult to outrun them. If you’re wearing no armor, the attacks from polar bears can become rather deadly, so don’t underestimate them.
