It’s no myth that Google Pixel is among the top performers in the coliseum of smartphone photography and recently launched Pixel 3 phone carry this trait forward. If you’ve been following the events since last night, you know that we have the Pixel 3 XL with us already and I can say I’ve been hooked to the camera.

The cameras on the Pixel 3 XL are nothing short of astounding when you consider smartphones from a few years ago or just the ones from this year with multiple cameras.  We sure have come a long way since the Nexus phones, and with software features which have remained unmatched by any other phone, Pixel 3 has a leading edge over the competition.

The HDR+ mode on the Pixel 3 ensures some really impressive shots in almost all lighting conditions. The dedicated Pixel Visual Core chip makes image processing faster and much more efficient and we can easily see the result in the photo quality. I took the Pixel 3 XL out for a spin – including on a night ride – and tried to capture its full range of capabilities. Here are a ton of camera samples from the Google Pixel 3 in all conditions.

Google Pixel 3 Camera: Sheer Delight To Use

In the limited time that I’ve spent with the Google Pixel 3 XL, it has been a sheer delight. But I’m not stopping here and will be bringing you a variety of shots for our in-depth camera review.

Already I see a visible improvement over the Pixel 2 XL’s camera and while the software improvement should drip down to the older Pixel devices too, Pixel 3 XL seems to be invincible for now.

We’ll also be paring it with the other leading smartphone cameras, especially its biggest competitor the iPhone XS, which undeniably has some great cameras. But will Pixel 3 XL beat it? We wait to find it out really soon.

Let us know what you want us to test in the Google Pixel 3 XL and we’ll get to it as soon as we can. Stay tuned for our full review and in-depth look at the camera quality.
