50 Cent, aka Curtis James Jackson III, has officially teamed up with Starbreeze Entertainment and VICE Studio to executive produce the upcoming Payday TV series. The American Rapper has landed the executive producer role for the major video game adaptation and will produce the show through his G-Unit Film & Television production company.
Starbreeze Entertainment and VICE Studio have released a statement today announcing 50 Cent, who plays Balrog in Street Fighter live-action, as the executive producer of the most-awaited Payday TV series. The popular American rapper is excited to take the heist genre to greater heights by creating a riveting adaptation under his production company.
“G-Unit Film & TV has built cinematic crime stories that connect with audiences around the world. Teaming up with Starbreeze and VICE Studios and bringing the world of PAYDAY to the screen gives us the chance to build something big, a high-energy franchise that pushes the heist genre forward,” Jackson said.
The Payday team has been busy lately, teasing a collaboration with Fortnite and now developing a TV series. Although the Payday TV series was officially announced in March 2026, details about the production crew and cast remain unknown at the moment.
However, Starbreeze Entertainment and VICE Studio have revealed the official synopsis of the upcoming Payday TV series, which closely follows the franchise’s formula:
