The request issued by Rockstar Games was made yesterday in the New York Southern District Court as part of a DMCA subpoena. The subpoena was issued to ask any information or records relating to the ‘CyberLeek’ account, the main person allegedly behind the GTA 6 gameplay footage leaks.

Although DarkViperAU has denied any participation in leaks, he has a history of covering GTA 6 leaks on his channel. The reports suggest that he was sharing the same in his Discord server, which drew the ire of Rockstar Games.

One thing to note is that it was DarkViperAU who first leaked that GTA 6 trailer 3 won’t be released; instead, extended gameplay footage would be shared. However, at that time, no one could have imagined the possibility of the GTA 6 extended look on Netflix.

When we checked his Discord server, we found that all the channels were deleted. This is likely a safeguard mechanism to hide any info. However, Discord is known to save all the data on its servers, so Rockstar Games can still get their hands on it.

This is a bit sad, as his Discord server was one of the biggest in the GTA community. This means that many in the community won’t have a home until this entire fiasco is sorted out.

So, what’s your opinion? Do you think YouTuber DarkViperAU was responsible for the GTA 6 leaks? Tell us your opinion in the comment section below.
