It’s finally here: Rockstar Games has announced that an extended look at GTA 6 is coming soon on Netflix on August 27.
In an X post, Rockstar Games posted a 30-second motion teaser featuring Jason and Lucia in a new look and announced that an extended look at GTA 6 is coming to Netflix on August 27 at 3 PM ET. The video also featured what seems to be a potential theme song for GTA 6 with funky guitar and synth tunes.
The post was accompanied by a special Netflix page that redirects fans to the official reveal playlist page. When you head over to the Netflix page for the GTA 6 Extended Look reveal, you’ll notice the following description: “Coming August 27: See an extended look at ‘Grand Theft Auto VI,’ the next evolution in the groundbreaking ‘Grand Theft Auto’ series.”
The news of an exclusive GTA 6 extended look comes just a day before the Take-Two investor call, which is scheduled for August 7, 2026.
For non-Netflix subscribers, Rockstar also announced in the quote reply to the teaser above that the GTA 6 Extended Look will also be uploaded on the official Rockstar Games YouTube channel and the GTA 6 website at 9 PM ET on August 27, exactly 6 hours after the Netflix premiere.
This means that Netflix subscribers will have early access to the GTA 6 extended look 6 hours earlier than those who wait for it to be uploaded on YouTube or Rockstar’s website. Now what would this ‘ extended look ‘ be, if you may ask?
Well, according to long-standing rumors, Rockstar may release a GTA 6 gameplay reveal rather than Trailer 3 instead. The ‘extended look’ further confirms that the premiere will indeed focus on an in-depth reveal of GTA 6’s world in Leonida, its plot, and offer a deep dive into its gameplay.
Since this is the first time that Rockstar is dropping an exclusive reveal for a GTA title on Netflix, before anywhere else, it signals that more GTA games may hit Netflix, just like San Andreas, GTA III, and Vice City.
