Even though I was always under the impression that live service games are loved universally by developers, a new survey says otherwise. In a recent survey conducted by Game Developer, over 600 developers were asked about the monetization in video games. Over 70% felt concerned about the sustainability of live service games. Out of the reasons, the primary was the worry that players will lose interest in their product along with competitors taking a bigger piece of the pie. Nonetheless, companies like WB Games have doubled down on their commitment to live service titles as small studios like Fntastic shut down leaving failures in their wake.

Scheduled for 2025, the iPhone 17 models may bring some mind-blowing features and improvements.
