Late last month, popular battle royale shooter PUBG unveiled its new expansive training mode consisting of a new 2×2 map where players could hone their skills before taking on their opponents in the other three maps. Recently, the game rolled out an update for the test servers, finally bringing the new training mode to the players.
According to a recent blog post from the company the large update, which is just over 8GB in size, brings “the heavily requested Training Mode, the brand new MK47 Mutant, the already fan-favorite Tukshai vehicle for Sanhok, and the new Laser Sight attachment.”
Along with the aforementioned additions, the PUBG Update #21 for the test servers also introduces a new rewards system for playing the game and new missions, an updated marker system, on-screen network information and a lot more. Here are the complete patch notes for the latest update:
- Added a new feature which allows players to test their MIC input within the game
- New Training Mode where you can practice all aspects of PUBG’s gameplay
- New “Training Mode” button in lobby to join the matchmaking queue
- Sessions will start immediately if there are more than 5 players in a queue. Players can join open sessions up to 5 minutes after they start (max 20 players per session)
- In case there are less than 5 players in a queue, matchmaking will continue for 5 minutes
- In case there are less than 5 players even after 5 minutes the session will start with the original number of players in queue
- One training session will last 30 minutes at most
- Players cannot drop below 1hp in Training Mode
- New Weapon: MK47 Mutant
- MK47 Mutant can be acquired on all maps through world spawns
- MK47 Mutant is an AR weapon which uses 7.62mm ammo and has a 20 round capacity (extended to 30 rounds with extended mag)
- Two firing modes: single and 2-round burst
- Can use all attachments but doesn’t have a stock slot
- New Sanhok Exclusive Vehicle: Tukshai
- 3 person vehicle that will substitute the UAZ, Dacia and Minibus on Sanhok
- Slower compared to previous vehicles
- New Supply System
- Supply system will grant rewards based on missions and play time
- Players will be able to level up and get rewards
- New missions daily and weekly
- Earn rewards upon gaining survival levels
- BP system restructured
- BP will now be awarded based on both play time and ranking
- Maps and Modes will now award BP based on play time
- Players will no longer gain more BP for playing alone in a squad game
- New Laser Sight
- Laser Sight will reduce bullet spread while hip firing and soft-aiming
- Fits on weapons with a lower rail slot
- Improved UI menu for Appearance and Store
- Other bug fixes, quality of life features and performance improvements
The PUBG update 21 is now live on the test servers, but the company hasn’t made any announcements about the release timeline for stable servers.
