Gears of War: E-Day Open Beta is upon us, and just in time, Microsoft has announced two Limited Edition Xbox controllers earlier today.
In a brand-new YouTube video, Xbox unveiled not one, but two Gears of War: E-Day-themed Xbox controllers which look like they’re straight out of the game. Out of the two, one is a limited-edition controller available for pre-order now, while the other will be customizable through Xbox Design Lab later this month.
The Gears of War: E-day Limited Edition Xbox controller with the Crimson Omen design is priced at $89.99 and is available for a limited time on the Microsoft Store and will ship starting September 30, 2026.
Its design is inspired by the horrors of Emergence Day, featuring cracked asphalt which resembles the destruction caused by the Locust invasion. The controller follows a dark red and black theme, and includes red triggers, a transparent D-pad, blacked-out ABXY buttons with a transparent red X button, and black leather-like back and side grips.
The second Gears of War controller can be customized using the Xbox Design Lab and features two crossed Chainsaw Lancers surrounded by skulls.
You can make changes to the controller by swapping it with metallic triggers and D-pads, rubberized side and back grips, and personalized engraving. The centerpiece of the controller is a custom design created by UK-based heavy metal illustrator Luke Preece.
Alongside the controllers, Xbox has partnered up with 8bitDo to create a customized charging dock for Gears of War: E-Day Xbox controllers. The officially licensed charging dock is also available for pre-order for $39.99.

With the Xbox 25th anniversary retro green controller also available and now the two new Gears of War: E-Day Xbox controllers announced, players now have a tough choice on which one to play the new Gears title with.
