Instagram Reveal Sticker Lets You Post Hidden Stories: How to Use It

In Short
  • Instagram has added a new Reveal sticker which blurs your story and only makes it visible when someone replies to it.
  • You can add a hint for your story or a message related to it. The person can send anything random to reveal your story.
  • Besides this, the platform also introduced Add Your Music sticker and a Frame sticker to share photos as interactive polaroids.

Instagram stories are the best way to communicate with your followers with daily content. The app has tons of stickers, filters, and frames to let you make your stories more fun and engaging. Recently, they released a new Reveal sticker to post secret stories on the platform that can only be revealed when someone replies to it.

The Meta-owned app announced a bunch of interesting and fun features on earlier this week including the Reveal sticker. It blurs your stories and people can only see it when they reply to it. Giving you the option to write down a hint about what’s in the story or something to start a conversation. Users will have to reply to your story to reveal its content.

Here is a quick step-by-step process to show you how you can use the new Reveal sticker on your Instagram stories.

When someone views it, they have to reply to your story and it will get unblurred automatically. You don’t need to approve it or reply to the message.

This feature is going to be great for creators as they can get some engagement out of their audiences. Plus, the fact that you don’t have to respond to their DM saves you the hassle of replying to every message to let them view your story.

Along with this, Instagram also introduced an Add Yours Music sticker that works similarly to the Add Yours sticker. You can ask others to share their favorite music tracks by replying to your stories. We also saw the addition of the Frame sticker that turns your photos into Polaroids that are hidden. You need to shake your phone to reveal the photo, like you would do with an actual Polaroid photo.

These new additions allow creators new ways to post their stories and farm engagement on the platform. I can’t help but wonder whether there would be a restricted version of the Reveal sticker where only the DMs that you approve can view your story, adding a privacy measure to this option. For now, I think it’s just a good way to strike up a conversation with someone that you have been wanting to on the app.

But what are your thoughts about it? Have you tried the Reveal sticker yet, and tell us how you are going to use it in the comments below.
