Following the diabolical ending of The Boys Season 4, everyone’s eyes are set on the second season of its spin-off series, Gen V. Similar to the debut season, we can’t wait to see how our fresh Supes at Godolkin University journey is going to turn their lives in the second season. Want to know if your favorite character will be back or not? Here is the updated Gen V Season 2 cast and characters list.
As per the latest updates (latest trailer), we have included confirmed returning cast members as well as new character additions to the crew. Without any further ado, here are the Gen V cast members appearing in Season 2.
1. Jaz Sinclair as Marie Moreau

The talented Jaz Sinclair plays Marie Moreau, the central protagonist in Gen V. Jaz is an emerging American actress whose popularity skyrocketed after the first season of Gen V. Apart from this series, she has also appeared in several movies and TV shows, namely Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Easy, Paper Towns, etc.
Her character is a first-year student at Godolkin University, where young superheroes get trained. She aspires to become one of the members of “The Seven.” Marie is one of the most powerful supes we have met in Gen V, as she can control blood. Marie’s Blood Manipulation is an overpowered technique.
She has been re-enrolled by the new Dean Cipher (whom you will meet below). Following Homelander’s takeover of the American nation, the university has completely changed its goals. Thus, Marie is seen rebelling against the new dean’s tyrannical rule in the trailer, and we are waiting to learn more about her powers in the upcoming season.
2. Chance Perdomo as Andre Anderson

Andre Anderson was a tailor-made role for Chance Perdomo as he nailed this character in Gen V’s debut season. This role was indeed the game changer in his career, but he unfortunately passed away after a motorcycle collision. The sudden death of this Gen V cast member left the whole crew devastated. The producers decided “not to recast this role as they, along with the fans, believe no one could replace our beloved Chance.”
Hence, the creators and writers decided to completely rework the story and the script to honor our favorite Chance’s legacy in the upcoming season. Andre Anderson was the son of another popular hero, Polarity.
He was a freshman at Godolkin University and had the superpower of Magnetism Manipulation. He was also imprisoned in “The Wood” along with his friends at the end of season 1. We have to wait and see how the creators will honor Andre’s character in Gen V Season 2.
3. Maddie Phillips as Cate Dunlap

Next, we have Maddie Phillips, who played the role of Cate Dunlap, the girlfriend of the famous Golden Boy at Godolkin University. Maddie was born in Canada and raised in Western Australia before she returned to Canada to begin her acting career.
Maddie has appeared in a handful of movies and shows like Supernatural, Teenage Bounty Hunters, etc. But like her co-stars, her role in Gen V gave her a breakthrough in her career. Cate is a near-omnipotent character in Gen V as she has an incredible set of powers, such as Telepathy, Memory Imprisonment, Memory and Emotional Manipulation, Persuading others to do whatever she wants, etc.
Initially, she was part of the main gang, but she switched to the antagonist side later on in the first season. This resulted in her cameo in The Boys season 4, where she and Sam kidnapped Frenchie. Cate is now one of the new Guardians of Godolking University. Thus, let’s see if she continues being on the Dean’s side or returns to her friends in season 2, and we can also expect to see more of her in The Boys Season 5.
4. Asa Germann as Sam Riordan

Asa Germann, who appeared a little later in the show, played the important role of Sam Riordan. Asa is a budding actor who previously appeared in Netflix’s Monster series. Right after that, he stepped in the right direction in his career with this role in Gen V and also appeared in the fourth season of The Boys.
Coming back to Sam’s character, he is the younger brother of Luke Riordan, aka Golden Boy. Sam was, unfortunately, treated as a lab rat inside The Woods, which resulted in him developing mental disorders. He was considered to be stronger than his brother, as Sam’s superpower is superhuman levels of strength.
Sam also teamed up with Cate to become the antagonists of Gen V at the end. We can’t wait to see more of his character in season 2, as he is also one of the new Guardians of the Godolkin University.
5. Lizze Broadway as Emma Meyer

Lizze Broadway is one of the promising stars in Hollywood right now, and she became extremely popular after her role as Emma Meyer in Gen V. Lizze has already done roles in major movies and TV shows such as Ghosted, Chicago P.D., NCIS, Here and Now, Based on a True Story, etc.
Emma Meyer, also known as the Little Cricket cause of her powers, is considered the tritagonist of Gen V. At first, we thought Emma’s superpower was shrinking, but as the show progressed, we learned that she can also utilize gigantification powers to grow bigger.
She was also in a relationship with Sam in the debut season until the latter betrayed her. Emma has also rejoined the university and is teased to join the Guardians of the Godolkin. Thus, her Self-Size Alteration power will come in handy during Marie’s rebellion in the upcoming season.
6. London Thor & Derek Luh as Jordan Li

Jordan Li is a complex character with the superpower to change genders as they want. Thus, this character was played by two wonderful artists, namely actress London Thor and actor Derek Luh. This perfect cast selection made me wonder if they were the same person at first.
Before her role in Gen V, London acted in numerous popular shows and movies such as Lady Bird, Shameless, You, Never Have I Ever, etc. In contrast, Derek had played roles in All Rise, Runaways, etc.
Jordan Li doesn’t just have Gender Transformation powers, as they can perform numerous abilities such as Energy Blasts, Regenerative Healing, etc. Along with this, Jordan possesses incredible agility and durability to a level that they are known as the toughest character in God U. Moreover, Marie and Jordan Li became a couple towards the end of season 1.
As the trailer reveals, Jordan is set to become a new Guardian of the Godolkin along with Emma. Jordan was also seen in a sparring arena, forced to fight against their partner, Marie, in the trailer.
7. Hamish Linklater as Cipher

Following Cate’s murder of the former dean, Indira Shetty, Hamish Linklater was chosen to take on the role of “Cipher,” the next dean of God U in Gen V season 2. Hamish is an experienced American actor who has worked on numerous projects in Hollywood. Some of his notable works include The Big Short, Midnight Mass, Manhunt, Legion, etc.
Fans hoped he would be on the protagonist’s side in Gen V Season 2. But the newest trailer is painting him as the opposite. The new addition to the Gen V Season 2 cast considers his students as soldiers of the American Nation. Thus, Dean Cipher is expected to be the main antagonist of season 2 at the moment.
8. Sean Patrick Thomas as Polarity

You would remember Polarity as the father of Andre Anderson from season 1. Polarity was heavily suffering from health issues due to overuse of his magnetic powers. The new trailer confirms that he will play a vital role in season 2 as he aims to exact revenge against Godolkin University, as they did something to his son.
Earlier, the creators stated that they had rewritten the story due to the unexpected demise of Chance. Therefore, it is predicted that Andre must have been killed in ‘The Woods’ by the new dean, which sets his father on the revenge path this time. We will get the answers regarding Polarity’s role and his son’s disappearance in the opening episodes of season 2.
9. Chace Crawford as The Deep

One of the characters with whom people have had a love-hate relationship throughout the run of The Boys is The Deep, played by Chase Crawford. The Deep is known for many things, but the one that stands out the most is his, well, love towards marine life, especially a certain octopus. Now, talking about his appearance in Gen V, he was previously seen in Season 1, but only through a video message paying tribute to the late Professor Brink.
However, judging by the new trailer, we can confirm that The Deep will be in Gen V Season 2. As of now, there’s not much info about the extent of his role, but chances are it could once again be just a cameo, maybe with a little more screentime and presence this time. So, let’s wait and see what’s in store as the series hits Prime Video.
10. Valorie Curry as Firecracker

Valorie Curry is stepping into the shoes of Firecracker once again in Gen V Season 2. Previously, she became quite an important character in The Boys Season 4, responsible for spreading propaganda and fake news on behalf of Homelander.
However, their relationship extended beyond just professionalism, and if you’ve watched The Boys Season 4, you know exactly what I’m talking about. Now, the chances of Firecracker showing up in Gen V in person are kinda slim, but by the looks of it, there’s a pretty good chance she’ll appear on screen, reporting events and spreading propaganda, just like before.
11. Tatie Fletcher as Vikor

Tatie Fletcher is a new face joining the cast of Gen V Season 2 and The Boys, and he’s stepping into the role of Viktor. In The Boys comics, Viktor was the leader of a superhero team called the “Children of Stormfront,” though funnily enough, they had no real connection to her.
Like most supes under Homelander’s thumb, Viktor wasn’t exactly a saint but ended up working with The Boys because Butcher had some pretty damning dirt on him. Of course, in classic The Boys fashion, that alliance didn’t last long, and Butcher eventually took him out. As for his powers, Viktor has super strength, durability, and a regenerative healing factor. So now, the only real question is: how long will he last in the world of The Boys?
12. Zach McGowan as Dog Knott

Zach McGowan is stepping into the role of Dog Knott in Gen V Season 2, and just like Viktor, there’s a solid chance he might pop up in The Boys Season 5 as well. In The Boys comics, Dog Knott was a minor antagonist and a member of the supe team Teenage Kix and didn’t exactly have a major impact on the storyline.
If you squint a little, he gives off serious Sabertooth-from-Marvel vibes, but was taken down fairly easily by Mother’s Milk. So yeah, there’s a real possibility this could be a one-and-done kind of appearance in Gen V Season 2. But with this universe, you never really know.
So, this was the list of Gen V Season 2 cast members, including returning and new characters. Now that we have the trailer already, Gen V Season 2 is set to release on September 17, 2025.
