Pokemon GO has officially shared the details on the the July 2024 events, where you can participate in the Spotlight Hour, three-part events, and catch new Pokemon and their Shiny variants.

Morelull is the final Pokemon joining the June Spotlight Hour. Taking place on June 25, 2024, from 6 PM to 7 PM local time, you can frequently encounter this Pokemon. Also, you'll get to earn 2x Stardust per encounter.

Pokemon GO's 8th anniversary party will last from June 28, 10 AM to July 3, 8 PM, local time. During this event, players can earn rewards like double XP, double stardust, higher friendship levels, etc. Players can also get a chance to capture unique Pokemon exclusive to this event and event-specific tasks.

Pokemon GO's Scorching Steps event is your chance to encounter Fire-type Pokémon until June 25th, 8:00 p.m. local time. Complete timed research for a Turtonator encounter, 2,000 XP, and 1,500 Stardust. Field research tasks will also reward encounters with Slugma, Litleo, and potentially even Turtonator.

You can get a chance to catch Yveltal in Pokemon GO five-star raids, starting June June 19, 2024, to June 28, 2024, 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM local time. To defeat them, consider bringing over a Gradevoir, Tyranitar, or Aerodactyle to the fight.

The Mega Charizard Y is the latest Pokemon to join the monthly Mega Raids. It will be available from June 19 to June 28. The Mega Charizard Y weaknesses include Rock, Electric and water Pokemon. The Mega Charizard Y weaknesses include Aerodactyle, Swampert, or Gyarados.

The Pokemon GO Roggenrola Spotlight Hour is the next one in line. This Pokemon will join the event starting 18 June 2024, from 6 PM to 7 PM alongside its shiny variant. If you plan on participating, keep reading to figure out the best tips for the Pokemon GO Spotlight hour.

Landorus Incarnate Forme is joining the Pokemon GO five-star raids from 10 June 2024 to 19 June 2024, from 10 AM to 10 PM local time. During this time, you can fight the Pokemon in raids. To successfully do that, bring yourself a Water and Ice-type and over two players.

Wingull joins the monthly Pokemon GO Spotlight Hour as the second monster. Hence, you can encounter the Pokemon and its shiny variant on June 11, 2024, from 6 PM - 7  PM local time. So, consider bringing a lot of Poke Balls, Berries, etc. to improve your chances to capture as many of them as you can.

To help you narrow it all down, I decided to sit down and pick the best electric Pokemon you should get your hands on. This includes popular ones like Pikachu, Zapdos, and legendaries like Zekrom.

Komala is a Normal-type Pokemon in Pokemon GO. You can catch this Pokemon and even a shiny Komala by participating in the paid time event Slumbering Sands in June 2024. To increase your chances of a Komala encounter, begin exploring your surrounding and using Incense sticks to increase its spawn-rate.

The Pokemon GO Slumbering Sands event is here and back with its own set of collection challenges. This event's collection challenges involve catching four Pokemon and evolving another four to receive a Komala encounter, 5000XP and 2500 Stardust as rewards.

The Pokemon GO Slumbering Sands event commences from June 7, 2024 at10:00 AM and ends on June 12, 2024 at 8:00 PM local time. During this time, you have the chance to finish certain tasks, giving you a Komala encounter, a Visor Slakoth encounter, Poke balls, etc. Do note the the entry ticket will cost $2 pass. Once you've bought the event pass, here are all the Slumbering Sands timed research tasks and rewards you should complete.

Dragon Pokemon are a unique case where not only are they strong against their fellow Dragon-types, they are also weak to them too! Their other weaknesses include Fairy and Ice-type Pokemon However, Dragon Pokemon can withstand any attacks from Fire, Water, Grass, and Electric-types.

If you have a Fighting Pokemon in your team, you can utilize its strengths which include being strong against Normal, Rock, Steel, Ice, and Dark-type Pokemon. On the flip-side, avoid fighting any Flying, Psychic, and Fairy-type Pokemon. And, if your fighting Pokemon is up against a Rock, Bug, and Dark-type, rest assured they will withstand any attacks from these monsters.

Fire Pokemon are one of the most popular element-type in Pokemon GO, faring really well against any Bug, Grass, Ice, and Steel-type Pokemon. However, they are weak against Ground, Rock, and Water-type Pokemon. Similarly, they resist Bugs, Steel, Fire, Grass, Ice, and Fairy-type as of generation six.

Pokemon GO players can encounter Makuhita, Wingull, Roggenrola, and Morelull during the June 2024 Spotlight hours. These Pokemon will frequently appear from 6 to 7PM local time, every Tuesday. Players can also get some bonus rewards during these hours.

Water type Pokemon are very popular in-game. However, when it comes to fighting other Pokemon, they perform extremely well against a Ground, Rock, and Fire-type Pokemon. However, they will have a tough time attacking a Grass and Electric-type Pokemon. Fortunately, they can resist the Steel, Fire, Water, and Ice-type Pokemon.

Dark Pokemon strengths include being formidable against Ghost and Psychic Pokemon. However, their weaknesses include fighting against a Bug, Fairy, and Fighting-type Pokemon. At the same time, they can resist any special attacks coming from a Dark and Psychic Pokemon.

A Ghost Pokemon can fight well against a fellow Ghost-type or a Psychic-type. However, they struggle fighting against Dark and Ghost types which makes this situation all the more confusing. Fortunately, they resist any attacks from a Bug or a Psychic-type Pokemon.

If you are running an Ice Pokemon in your team, you will fare extremely well against Dragon, Ground, Grass, and Flying-type Pokemon. You'll even deal double damage against them if its a dual-type with a mix of these four elements. However, Ice Pokemon are weak against Rock, Fire, Steel, and Fighting-type, and can only resist Ice attacks.

If you have a Psychic Pokemon, you'd best want to put them up against Poison or a Fighting-type Pokemon as those are their strengths. However, Psychic Pokemon's weaknesses include Bug, Ghost, or Dark-type Pokemon so keep them away from that. Finally, if a fellow Psychic or Fighting Pokemon attacks yours, they can resist their attack easily.

One of the newer Pokemon-type in-game, a Fairy Pokemon will easily counter Fighting, Dragon, and Dark-type Pokemon. However, they'll struggle fighting against any Steel, or Poison-type Pokemon. Co-incidentally, Fairy Pokemon are one of the few Pokemon in-game that has a resistance against Fighting, Dragon, and Bug-type Pokemon.

To catch the upcoming Mega Pidgeot in Pokemon GO, you have to withstand its attacks and avoid using a fighting, bug, and grass-type Pokemon. Rather, bring over an rock, electric, and ice-type Pokemon. Mega Pidgeot also gets countered pretty easily using Tyranitar, Diancie, Manectric, and more. And, once you have a Pidgeot in your Pokedex, you can evolve it using 100 Mega Energy to a Mega Pidgeot.

Steel Pokemon are one of the archetypes you should use against fighting a rock, ice, and fairy-type Pokemon. However, they should avoid fighting against a fighter, fire, and ground-type Pokemon, as they are weak. Finally, steel Pokemon can resist the highest number of element-type, resisting normal, flying, rock, bug, steel, grass, psychic, ice, dragon, and fairy-type Pokemon.

Similarly, if a Grass, Water, Electric, and Ground type Pokemon tries to fight with a Grass type, chances are they won't perform well.

Ground type Pokemon are one of the 18 Pokemon belonging to an element, and they come with their own set of strengths, weakness, and resistance. They will be strong facing against Rock, Fire, Electric, Poison, and Steel type Pokemon. However, they don't perform well against Water, Grass, and Ice-type Pokemon. Similarly, if a Poison, Rock, and Electric-type Pokemon tries to fight with a Ground type, chances are they will lose.

True to its name, Normal Pokemon is the standard element-type Pokemon in the game. While they aren't strong against any element-type, and will take a considerable damage against Fighting-type Pokemon, they can resist scares and spooks from the Ghost-type Pokemon.
