Mega Blaziken EX Deck Strategy

The Mega Blaziken EX deck focuses on setting up Mega Blaziken EX for the late game, while Entei EX draws the necessary cards.

This deck comprises seven Pokemon cards. During Turn one, try to have one Entei EX in your active spot. If not, then Torchic should be fine. However, you must preserve your other Torchic for it to evolve into Mega Blaziken EX. It can be done so using the Rare Candy cards. Mega Blaziken EX has enough drawing capacity, with the Legendary Pulse ability of Entei EX, Poke Ball cards, and Professor’s Research.

The Flame Patch card is the ace of this deck, giving your active Pokemon extra Fire energy. If you’ve discarded a Fire Energy, either by getting a Pokemon KO-ed or for a Retreat, use a Flame Patch card on a Mega Blaziken ex. This way, as it switches in, you can attach the free Fire Energy and the energy from the Flame Patch to attack right away. Use your Rocky Helmet on your active Mega Blaziken EX. That way, it can deal +20 damage to your opponent’s Pokemon when it deals you damage.

You might notice that we have a non-EX Blaziken in our deck. It is your best counter against Oricorio. Oricorio prevents damage from EX cards, but a non-EX card with 70+ attack damage, in this deck, non-EX Blaziken can easily KO it. Whenever your Torchic is at low HP, evolve it into a non-EX Blaziken, as your goal is to preserve as much HP as possible on your Mega Blaziken EX.

Mega Blaziken EX is one of the strongest cards, due to its low energy cost and high damage attack. The Mega Burning attack can deal 120 damage at the expense of two fire energy, discarding one per use. However, it burns your opponent’s Pokemon, dealing 20 damage per turn. When using this deck, watch out for Oricorio, and avoid your Mega Blaziken EX getting KO-ed.

That said, if you don’t have Mega Blaziken, feel free to try out and explore other decks. Comment down below if you have any Mega deck suggestions.
