If we talk about cinematic disaster, Madame web can easily top that list. The movie has everything you can expect from a poorly made movie. The dialogues are corny, the VFX and CGI are as bad as it gets, the acting is super dull and what not. Madame Web also has many plotholes that makes no sense in the Sony Spiderverse. Overall, it's a really bad movie.
Madame Web has hit theaters and it turns out to be a total disaster, from screenplay to dialogues, every aspect of this movie has disappointed the fans of Spiderman and Marvel. We would have a bit hope from this character if there was some hint of Madame Web having a role in the broader spider-verse but it seems it was a one and done show considering there are no post credits in this movie.
The live-action adaptation of Madame Web is almost here and while the movie itself is facing a lot of questions regarding the quality it will offer, it is also a very bold move to be made by Sony. If you have read the comics, you already know that the version of Madame Web Sony is bringing us with Dakota Johnson is very different from the source material. However, let us wait for February 14, 2024 and see if Sony succeeds in delivering or not.
In a recent development, the screen time for Marvel's upcoming movie Madame Web has been revealed by a Norwegian ticketing company called FilmWeb. According to them, Madame Web will have a total runtime of 1 hour 56 minutes, making it the longest Sony Spider-verse movie.
A brand new movie in the spiderverse is set to release next year. However, this movie is not based on Spiderman or any of its variants instead, it revolves around Madame Web who you can essentially call the Professor X of the Spiderverse. Dakota Johnson will be playing the role of Cassandra Webb who grows into being Madame Web. There are going to be a number of Spider-People in this movie and it will have a very "Final Destination" vibe to it. Madame Web is set to release on February 14, 2024.
