As a New Year's surprise, Xiaomi tweeted out today that HyperOS will start rolling out in India in January 2024. The company did not confirm the rollout date but revealed that Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 6 will be the first ones to receive the update. HyperOS replaces the long-running MIUI experience on Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco phones.
Xiaomi has developed its full-stack technology and HyperOS to power the SU7 EV sedans for a smarter and intelligent driving experience. It uses AI models for precise environment modeling and to predict driving behavior. Besides that, HyperOS is designed for seamless integration between your phone, home devices, and your car. You can use your smartphone apps on the big screen like a native app, and multi-task with ease.
The Xiaomi 14 series of devices went official in October 2023 with the newly introduced Android 14-based HyperOS on top, right out of the box. The new HyperOS brings a lot of features to the table, which I was able to put to the test in real time. One of the stand out features of HyperOS is the ability to be able to uninstall bloatware. In addition, you also get to see a more streamlined Control Center, several lock screen customizations, and more.
