Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 launched yesterday and is already being seen as an iconic smartphone, especially because of its evoking slider design and the 10GB RAM. But the smartphone has also received sufficient attention for its camera, especially after being vouched for performance by DxOMark.
While Xiaomi founder Lei Jun took the stage yesterday to launch the Mi Mix 3 in Beijing, the co-founder Lin Bin took the opportunity to tease some samples of the smartphone’s camera performance. Bin shared several images captured using the Mi Mix 3’s dual camera on Weibo. Most of these images appear to have been captured at the Forbidden City Palace in Beijing, which was also the venue for the launch event. This post, as per Bin, was dedicated to those who could not have the opportunity to attend the event or watch it live.
While we cannot conclude anything from these shots, we can feast our eyes on some rich detail.
A couple of shots of a glacier also make their way into the assortment and from the looks of it, the Mi Mix 3 seems to be very promising in its camera performance.
The colors are very vibrant, just like what DxOMark has mentioned in its review while the contrast levels, as well as the dynamic range, are striking.
We really hope Xiaomi is being honest about the provenance of these photos, as has been the case in many official camera samples recently. Further, while the smartphone’s availability in India is not certain, we’ll try to bring you more about the performance of the camera and the impact of that 10GB RAM as we learn more about it.
