Jio introduced a new Rs. 251 IPL 2018 Cricket Season pack early last month in a bid to attract more cricket fans to its network, especially as it has signed a deal with Hotstar to remove subscription charges for IPL.
As part of the IPL plan, the company offered 102GB of data, capped at 2GB per day, for a period of 51 days. Along with the data benefits, the company also announced a Jio Cricket Play Along experience, offering prizes worth crores to lucky players.
Now, the company has further sweetened the deal with a new Cricket Teaser pack which offers 8GB of complimentary data for a period of 4 days. The Cricket Teaser pack is available as an add-on pack for all users, irrespective of the data pack they’re currently using. The teaser pack seems to be an effort to attract more users to the IPL 2018 Cricket Season pack which offers users data at less than Rs. 2.50 per GB.
With the new Cricket Teaser pack, users will get 2GB of 4G data per day for a period of four days and will get unlimited data access at 64kbps once the daily limit is exceeded. Jio hasn’t offered any clarity regarding the pack and it’s not clear if it’s available in all circles. However, if you’re a Jio user, you can head on to the My Plans section within the My Jio app and check if the teaser pack has been extended to you. In case the teaser pack is available on your connection, you’ll find it under the add-on section and you can activate it without incurring any additional charges.
