- The Crimson Desert DLC will be announced in Q3 2026 by Pearl Abyss.
Pearl Abyss released its earnings letter for the second quarter of 2026 earlier today, and it comes with some good news for Crimson Desert fans. In the report, the developers confirmed that the Crimson Desert DLC is currently under development and will be officially announced in Q3 2026.
Giving more details about the Crimson Desert DLC, Pearl Abyss wrote the following in its earnings letter released today: “The DLC is currently under development, scheduled for release this year while we refine its content direction and overall quality.”
Specific details regarding the price of the Crimson Desert DLC, contents, and launch timing will be officially revealed in the third quarter of this year, says Pearl Abyss.

The company also disclosed its plans for the future, as they want to expand its user base and achieve long-term growth. To achieve this goal, Pearl Abyss is already at work, which includes releasing a Crimson Desert Nintendo Switch 2 port.
In addition, Pearl Abyss also talked about a potential multiplayer mode coming to Crimson Desert. “There is significant potential for expansion into multiplayer modes. However, integrating multiplayer functionality is far more complex than simply adding a new game mode”, said the devs.
Crimson Desert sold over 3 million copies in its launch week. The game continues its momentum, as seen in the company’s financial report, where it can be clearly seen that Crimson Desert has sold over 2.11 million copies in Q2 2026. Another major shocker was that around 80% of the game’s sales were on digital, rather than on physical discs.
The report goes on to reveal that Pearl Abyss has generated over KRW 400 billion from the game since its release. While there are other projects like DokeV and Plan 8 under development as fresh IPs in the company, Pearl Abyss mentioned that its immediate development priority will remain on delivering a Crimson Desert DLC.
