  • George says:

What do you guys think about Windows Defender? Is it enough to keep me protected? Or it is absolutely necessary to install a paid Antivirus?

    • Stefan Achen says:

It’s much, much better than its predecessor (Microsoft Security Essential) but it’s still not as good as other Antivirus programs. There are better options out there, but if you’re somewhat of a tech savvy user you should be able to survive using only that. Your average PC user will probably need a third party Antivirus or at the very least an Anti-Malware.

    • Thorsten Bayer says:

No, installing another Antivirus is not a necessity, but you might want to consider it depending on your level of knowledge.

    • Germain Lalonde says:

Are you guys for real? Who the heck can someone survive using nothing but Windows Defender? You’ll absolutely need another Antivirus and a well seasoned Anti-Malware.

      • Germain Lalonde says:

        How*

  • Jacob Hodgson says:

What about MalwareFox? I saw an ad of it right above this article and checked it out, it seems slightly cheaper compared to Malwarebytes. Has anyone tried it?

    • Charlotte Sims says:

It’s your average Anti-Malware, just cheaper.

  • Natasha Martin says:

On Kaspersky you’re using the image for Bitdefender. I’m not here to judge though, just saying.

  • Adale says:

    waw..

  • Steve Henderson says:

Malwarebytes is now $39.99. You might want to correct your listing.
