A while ago, it was revealed that Jared Padalecki will be joining the cast of The Boys Season 5. This news shook up the internet as Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles (Soldier Boy) will be reunited once again. The two have been co-stars in the mega-popular TV show, Supernatural, and this reunion would be simply lovely for the show’s fans. So, now the question is, what character is Jared Padalecki playing in The Boys Season 5?

Talking about the teaser of The Boys Season 5, numerous returning characters were seen in the short clip. However, Jared Padalecki’s character in Season 5 of the Boys has not yet been revealed. However, we know that he will appear in The Boys Season 5 episode 5 and interact with Soldier Boy in the episode.

While Jared Padalecki has mostly been tight-lipped about the identity of his character, he did tell us back in August 2025 that his character is “very excited to meet Soldier Boy,” which tells us this much that Jared and Jensen Ackles will be sharing scenes on the screen, something long-time fans are eagerly waiting for.

Now, taking a wild guess on who he could be playing in a series is rather impossible because The Boys, even though based on a comic book of the same name, does not really follow the same storyline, and also takes creative liberty with the characters.

For instance, the Soldier Boy we see in The Boys TV show is very different from the one you would find in the comic books, so it is nearly impossible to take a guess based on the comic books.
