Pokemon Champions is a turn-based strategy game, where you need to build a team of six Pokemon and challenge other players. With a vast choice of Pokemon available, picking the right ones for your team can get quite daunting. After all, you don’t want to invest your resources in building something that won’t be of much use. To help you out, we have ranked all the Pokemon in our Pokemon Champions Tier List, so that you know which ones to get for single and double battles
Pokemon Champions Normal Pokemon Tier List (Singles and Doubles)
There are 200+ Pokemon in Champions, and all of them are final evolutions. Some of the Pokemon are better than the others, due to their well-balanced stats and versatile moveset. Before you check our Pokemon Champions Tier List, we recommend that you also learn about the Pokemon Type Chart and their matchups.
As a free-to-play game, you’ll have a limited amount of resources and storage, which is why it’s important to choose the right Pokemon. S-Tier Pokemon
Pokemon that belong in the S Tier of the Pokemon Champions Tier List are the best ones for singles and doubles battles. Using these Pokemon in your team will give you the highest possible win rate. We recommend recruiting them using Victory Points if they are ever available in the recruitment lineup.
- Incineroar (Best used for Singles and Doubles): This is by far the best final evolution Pokemon in the game. The stats are well-balanced, and you can even use its Intimidate ability to lower the attack of your opponents. The moves are also versatile, and can provide a wide coverage.
- Hippodown (Best used for Singles and Doubles): Hippodown is an underdog that should not be looked upon. With Yawn, Stealth Rock, and its Sand Stream ability, you can stall time and deal a lot of off-turn damage.
- Sneasler (Best used for Singles and Doubles): One of the best teammates for Incineroar, and has a great coverage moveset.
- Sinistcha (Best used for Doubles): The best support in the game due to its balanced stats, healing, and buffing capability.
- Archaludon (Best used for Singles and Doubles): With a very high Special Def, it can be used as a tank. Archaludon also has a high Special Atk and can deal decent damage with moves like Flash Cannon and Draco Meteor.
- Kingambit (Best used for Singles and Doubles): One of the best Dark-type Pokemon with great offense and defense capability, with Protect, and some physical damage moves.
- Basculegion (Best used for Singles and Doubles): Versatile Water-type attacker who can make the most out of the Choice Scarf item. Combining the Choice Scarf with the Flip-Turn move can grant 50% more speed and cancel out the move-locking effect by swapping in.
- Whimsicott (Best used for Singles and Doubles): Another great supporter who can buff the damage of your teammates, with versatile support moves.
- Pelipper (Best used for Singles and Doubles): Pelipper is a top-tier support that can also deal a lot of Water-type damage, thanks to its Drizzle ability. Drizzle causes rain and buffs the damage of Water-type allies. It also has access to Protect and Tailwind as self-buffing moves.
- Garchomp (Best used for Singles): Fan-favorite pseudo-legendary Garchomp has well-rounded, balanced stats. On top of that, it has a great moveset pool that covers some of its weaknesses. The Rough Skin ability deals extra damage when an opposing Pokemon deals physical damage.
- Farigiraf (Best used for Singles and Doubles): Farigiraf is a Psychic-type Pokemon that can buff its allies with Trick Room and Helping Hand, allowing allies to move faster and deal 50% more damage.
- Greninja (Best used for Singles): Greninja is one of the fastest Pokemon in the game that can outpace some of the top Mega Evolutions. When paired with proper supports, it can deal some heavy hits.
- Mimikyu (Best used for Singles): Mimikyu can be a great choice for players who like to stall and confuse their opponents. With its Disguise ability and other stalling movesets, Mimikyu can force others into rage-quitting.
- Dragapult (Best used for Singles and Doubles): Dragapult is another one of those speedsters that can almost act before any Pokemon in the game. It also has a great coverage moveset that can delete opposing Pokemon before they get to act.
- Aegislash (Best used for Singles and Doubles): The last Pokemon on S-Tier is Aegislash. It can change stances, which can increase or decrease its stats accordingly. Aegislash also has some defensive moves and can be used strategically to defend and attack.
A-Tier Pokemon
A-Tier Pokemon are equally good compared to S-Tier ones, but they fall short due to their unbalanced stats as a non-Mega Pokemon, or have plenty of weaknesses. However, they are still considerable to have on your team, and we recommend getting them by linking Pokemon Champions to Pokemon HOME. That said, here’s a list of the A-Tier mons in Pokemon Champions:
- Meowscarada (Best used for Singles): The best Grass-type Pokemon in Champions, due to its high speed and attack. It also has access to the Protean ability that can change its typing.
- Dragonite (Best used for Singles): Dragonite is a top-tier pseudo-legendary that has an all-around stat, and a move pool that covers its every weakness.
- Charizard (Best used for Singles and Doubles): Fan-favorite Pokemon, Charizard, is a great choice due to the flexibility to use it as a physical or special move attacker.
- Tyranitar (Best used for Singles and Doubles): Another pseudo-legendary that is a strong addition to your team, if you lack a Dark or Rock-type Pokemon.
- Gengar (Best used for Singles and Doubles): It has a high speed, and Destiny Bond can take down opponents if they KO Gengar.
- Froslass (Best used for Singles and Doubles): Great Special Attack, moveset, and the ability to alter weather conditions, creating a snowstorm.
- Wash Rotom (Best used for Singles and Doubles): Variety of movesets and immunity against Ground-type moves make it a great all-arounder.
- Primarina (Best used for Singles): Most used Fairy-type Pokemon that counters some of the top meta ones in the game.
- Excadrill (Best used for Singles): One of the best Steel and Ground-type Pokemon with a very high attack.
- Corviknight (Best used for Singles): Corviknight boasts a higher defense as a Steel-type. When used with Roost, it can heal itself, becoming invincible.
- Palafin (Best used for Singles): Majorly used to pair with the Flip Turn move, which increases speed and switches out Pokemon. Next time the Pokemon enters battle with a different form, it boosts damage and speed.
- Hydreigon (Best used for Singles and Doubles): Dragon-type Pokemon with a very high attack, but gets outperformed by the other top-tier dragons.
- Torkoal (Best used for Doubles): Useful to tank attacks and stall opponents with Yawn, Recover, and Sunny Day.
- Volcarona (Best used for Singles and Doubles): One of the best for double matches, as it can impose plenty of debuffs and status effects.
- Toxapex (Best used for Singles and Doubles): Another great tank that can be almost impossible to KO, with Recover, Baneful Bunker, and Wideguard.

S-Tier Mega Pokemon
The S-Tier Mega Evolutions are the strongest ones, as they have the highest stats compared to any Pokemon in Pokemon Champions tier list. Investing in EVs and Mega Stones is highly recommended, as you can expect plenty of wins. They also have some of the most broken Mega Evolution abilities in Pokemon Champions, which can change the course of a single or double battle.
- Mega Gengar (Best used for Singles and Doubles): One of the fastest Pokemon in the game, which has a very high Special Atk, and its ability prevents opponents from changing their Pokemon mid battle.
- Mega Delphox (Best used for Singles and Doubles): Great Speedster that has well-rounded coverage moves, and is immune to Ground-type moves, making it a better option over other Fire Pokemon.

- Mega Froslass (Best used for Singles and Doubles): Very high Special Attack, can summon a snowstorm that can deal Ice-type damage over turns.

A-Tier Mega Pokemon

The C-Tier in our Pokemon Champions Tier List includes the Mega Evolutions that are worse than the ones we have listed previously.
