In total, Dragon’s Dogma 2 has four endings, two of them are complete endings, and the other two are failure endings. Here are all the endings you can get in Dragon’s Dogma 2:

  • The Selfish Ending (a.k.a. Bad Ending): The Arisen sacrifices their love to the Dragon, and the Dragon in return makes the Arisen the false Sovran. In this DD2 ending, the Arisen takes the throne but no celebration takes place.
  • The Sovran Ending (a.k.a Good or Normal Ending): The Arisen defeats the Dragon and saves the world and their love interest. The ending shows the Arisen becoming the True Sovran amid celebration while the credits start rolling.

  • The Despair Ending: The Arisen enters the Unmoored World but fails and dies before reaching the true ending. This ending shows the Arisen waking up in the Mad Old Man’s (Rivage Elder a.k.a the forgotten Arisen) house next to Harve Village Portcrystal.
  • The New World Ending (a.k.a Closure or True Ending): The Arisen stabs the true heart of the dragon with the Empowered Godsbane blade, defeating the Pathfinder and sending the world into a completely new cycle. The ending shows the new world, showing all the important NPCs close to the Arisen while the credits roll. After the credits finish rolling, the Old Mad Man (Rivage Elder a.k.a the forgotten Arisen) in Harve Village appears to have finally fixed his boat and prepares to sail when the game is forced into New Game plus.

In the above-mentioned endings, the Selfish and the Despair endings don’t roll the credits or allow players to enter the New Game plus as they are failed endings. Players have to reload the last save and reach either the Sovran or True ending to get into the New Game plus.

So, these are the four endings of Dragon’s Dogma 2, each with different story consequences. Tell us which ending you got the first time in the comment section.
