6 Best Augments to Equip in Dragon’s Dogma 2

In Short
  • Leveling up your Arisen is key and choosing the right Augments is crucial for that in Dragon's Dogma 2.
  • Gratification, Endurance, and Thew are some of the best early unlockable Augments that will help you throughout the game.
  • Get Detection, Pertinacity, and Athleticism at the later stages as your other Augments in Dragon's Dogma 2.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is all about finding the right way to hunt down those big and strong monsters. However, you will often find it difficult to do certain things in a particular class. Luckily, once you unlock the Augments, you will have better skills that help you through your journey. Unfortunately, not all the Augments are good enough to eat up your Augment space. So, if you are looking for the best Augments for you and your Pawn in Dragon’s Dogma 2, check them below.

1. Gratification (Thief)

Let us start with my favorite Augment in the game. Gratification is an Augment that unlocks at level 4 for Thief vocations. Unlocking it costs only 900 Dcp and can be done in the vocation guilds. Gratification allows you to heal yourself a decent amount, whenever you deal a killing blow to an enemy. It is perfect Augment if you are struggling to stay alive in the fights.

2. Thew (Fighter)

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a good game but a horrible thing the game will do is count your equipped stuff, including armor or weapons in your maximum encumbrance. That is why in all vocation scenarios, Thew is a must-have Augment in DD2. It increases your inventory size. Unfortunately, Thew costs 1800 Dcp and unlocks at level 6.

3. Endurance (Archer)

As someone who started with the Archer vocation, the stamina reduction is pretty noticeable. Endurance Augment will solve that problem for you. It also unlocks at level 4 and costs 900 Dcp. Endurance increases your maximum stamina by a good margin. Increasing your stamina is better than putting more points in your attack increase as it will not be as viable while playing different vocations.

4. Detection (Trickster)

While most Augments are focused on making your combat or survival easier, some can be as valuable without it. Detection is one of the most underrated Augments in Dragon’s Dogma 2. It will be unlocked at level 2 of Trickster and costs only 300 Dcp. This skill alerts you with sound and blinking light whenever there is a Seeker’s Tokens or Wakestone shards nearby. It comes in really handy if you are the collectible type.

5. Athleticism (Mystic Spearhand)

Mystic Spearhand is a solid vocation overall, with great weapon skills and stats. Unfortunately, not all Augments are that good in the arsenal of Mystic Spearhand. Despite that, one Augment can be great if you can level up to 9 and spend 5000 Dcp. Athleticism reduces your stamina consumption greatly when dashing. So, if you are in the later stages, use this Augment for better movements.

6. Pertinacity (Warrior)

If you are one of those who loves breaking through enemies’ defenses and striking them with death. Then Pertinacity is a must Augment for you. It costs 1800 Dcp and you will need level 6 Warrior to unlock it. It can also be a great Augment for your main Pawn thanks to the potential to kill shielded enemies faster.

And, these are the best Augments in Dragon’s Dogma 2 so far. Do you think there are better Augments? Which ones are you using currently? Share in the comments below.
