Warner Bros. Discovery included Hogwarts Legacy 2 in its Q2 2026 shareholder letter while discussing its plans for the games business. The company said it expects games to play a bigger role in its future profits as its pipeline grows.
The most important part is the wording. Warner Bros. Discovery directly confirmed the sequel by saying its expanding pipeline includes “the second installment of Hogwarts Legacy.”
That gives us the clearest confirmation yet that Avalanche Software is working on another Hogwarts adventure. Warner Bros. has not revealed a release date, gameplay footage, platforms, or even a proper title for the sequel.
The confirmation also comes as Warner Bros. Discovery narrows its games strategy around four major franchises. The company wants to put more resources behind fewer projects, and Hogwarts Legacy clearly sits among those bigger bets.
