One of the best parts of GTA games is the side activities you can dive into beyond the main missions. With Rockstar officially unveiling gameplay in GTA 6’s Extended Look on Netflix, we now know the map is massive, and there are multiple activities to do with the dual protagonists of GTA 6 Jason and Lucia. So, here’s a rundown of all GTA 6 activities we’ve spotted so far.
All Confirmed GTA 6 Open World Activities

Base Jumping

GTA 6’s Extended Look gave us our first look at the game’s base jumping activity, showcasing Lucia leaping off a tall building and opening her parachute to land. We get a brief shot of Leonida’s skylines and the massive GTA 6 map before the game switches to Jason. But of course, Jason can also do this activity; we just haven’t seen it yet.
Shooting Range

Rockstar is taking a step further with Ammu-Nation’s shooting range in GTA 6. In the GTA 6 Extended Look, we get our first look at the game’s shooting range, featuring Lucia targeting 12 targets. Hitting a target offers a time bonus, which means you can test your aim and mobility in combat here.
Don’t worry about character restrictions, as both Jason in GTA 6 and Lucia can shoot their way out in these shooting ranges.
Fishing

Fishing is a returning mechanic from Rockstar’s previous outing, Red Dead Redemption 2. While it hasn’t been officially confirmed, this GTA 6 activity was spotted in two instances. The first is an official image showing Jason and his buddy Cal casually fishing, soaking up the vibe.
The second example was the 10th GTA 6 leak, titled “Plane Video (Night)”, which featured an in-game prompt describing various fishing spots across Leonida. So, it looks like you’ll be fishing for Leonida too, just like you did in the fictionalized United States in RDR 2.
Lifting Weights

Weightlifting was spotted in GTA 6 Trailer 2, showcasing Jason bench-pressing in an open gym by the beach. However, the Extended Look and Rockstar’s interview with DAZED Magazine confirmed that GTA 6 will feature a weight and muscle system that affects both Jason and Lucia’s physique. This means weightlifting at various gyms will be one of the activities you can do in your free time in GTA 6.
Basketball

We got our first look at GTA 6’s basketball system in the first leak, which showcased Jason shooting hoops at his beach house in Leonida Keys. With the GTA 6 Extended Look released on YouTube, it’s now confirmed that Jason will have a basketball activity, letting you shoot hoops anytime you want. It’s currently unknown whether Lucia can do the same.
Tennis

The first GTA 6 trailer gave a quick shot of a tennis court in the heart of Vice City, meaning tennis will be one of the playable activities in the game. We did have a tennis activity with Michael in GTA 5 too, so there’s no reason Rockstar wouldn’t bring it back with someone as athletic as Jason Duval. Now the real question is, do I hit the basketball or tennis court first?
Dirt Bike Races

Another thrill Rockstar packed into GTA 6 is dirt bike races, as spotted in both a Mount Kalaga screenshot and in GTA 6’s Extended Look. In the latter, we saw Lucia ride through muddy racetracks and overtake her opponents, further confirming dirt bike races as one of the GTA 6 activities that you can do when you’re not focusing on the main campaign.
Rally Races

Speaking of dirt bike races, Lucia won’t be the only one having all the fun, as we’ve also seen bits of rally racing in GTA 6’s Extended Look. It’s unclear whether this is restricted to Jason, but it seems to be. Lucia’s the brawn of the relationship, so, naturally, she’d prefer a more rugged activity.
Kayaking

Rockstar has also confirmed kayaking as a GTA 6 activity with the screenshots of GTA 6’s Ultimate Edition and the Extended Look. For once, we know that both Jason and Lucia can participate in this GTA 6 activity, and it’s definitely going to be a peaceful break from all the bullet-filled chaos in Leonida.
Swimming

In GTA 6, swimming will also be an activity that you can do when you’re not focusing on the main campaign. The Extended Look gave us a quick look at Jason performing a backflip and diving into the water. So you can go beyond kayaking and jump straight into the water whenever you feel like it.
Jet Skiing

We already knew GTA 6 would feature jet skiing from the second trailer, similar to GTA 5’s system. However, the Extended Look gave us a brand-new look at Lucia jet skiing across the lakes in Leonida with other NPCs. As far as we know, both Jason and Lucia can do this activity in GTA 6.
Sunbathing

Sunbathing is the perfect way to take a break in GTA 6. The Extended Look showcased this activity with Jason and Lucia relaxing at what seems to be Vice Beach. If you’ve seen the GTA 6 beach leak, you’ll know Rockstar appears to be pushing the technical limits with the sheer number and variety of NPCs.
Hunting

Hunting will indeed be an activity in GTA 6, as confirmed by the screenshots and a satirical ad that appeared in GTA 6’s Extended Look. Like Red Dead Redemption 2, studying animals will also be a feature in GTA 6, as seen when Jason pets a dog in the Extended Look.
Airboating

As showcased in the GTA 6 trailers and screenshots, airboating will be one of the many activities you can enjoy in the game. The GTA 6 Extended Look also revealed the first-ever airboating gameplay with Jason cruising through what seems to be an area in the Leonida Keys.
Speaking of hunting, the swamps look like the perfect place to scratch that itch while observing a wide variety of birds and wildlife. And there’s always the chance of running into GTA’s infamous cougars and mountain lions around Mount Kalaga.
Amusement Parks

Several screenshots confirm that amusement parks are appearing in GTA 6. The standouts? Gatorpark and the return of the iconic Chunder Wheel. While GTA 6 Extended Look didn’t show the amusement parks, you can expect them to appear as an activity.
Street Races

Street races have been a recurring feature across both GTA 6 trailers, so it’s only natural that they’ll be among the activities you can enjoy during your free time. Nighttime street races, in particular, appear to be a prominent part of the game, and GTA 6’s Extended Look gave us exactly that.
In a brief moment, we see multiple customized GTA 6 vehicles speeding through town and using nitro to overtake each other. This is reminiscent of Franklin’s street races given by street racer Hao in GTA 5.
DJ and Music

Clubs have been a staple in every GTA title, and Rockstar’s official screenshots up until the Extended Look have only driven it home. However, the Extended Look gave us a proper view of the clubs and the music in Leonida, specifically in two shots.
The first has Jason walking through a crowd in a club, and we do know from GTA 6’s club leak that you can dance. The second shot shows Lucia dancing at the club with a drink in hand. The options “Drink” and “Drop” appear at the bottom right, which means it’s all gameplay, and not a cutscene, even though it looks like one.
Strip Clubs

It wouldn’t be a modern GTA title without strip clubs, so yes, these activities are back with GTA 6. Apart from the GTA 6 Strip Club leak, we now have an official look at them thanks to the Extended Look. In one of the scenes, we see Jason throwing cash at a stripper with Lucia dancing beside him. This is one of those activities that both Jason and Lucia can do as a duo.
Mini Golfing

Mini-golfing was an activity in GTA 5 too, so it makes sense for Rockstar to bring it back for their biggest open-world title yet. One GTA 6 screenshot shows Cal Hampton teeing off near a Gatorland-style park, so you can expect to do the same with Jason too, since he’s Hampton’s best friend.
Snooker

There’s no snooker gameplay in the GTA 6 Extended Look, but Rockstar has previously released a screenshot of Jason lining up some clean shots at a snooker table. So, without a question, it’s one of the activities you can do in GTA 6. There’s no word on whether Lucia can participate in the same.
Doomscrolling

Believe it or not, doomscrolling will be an actual activity in GTA 6. Rockstar has confirmed that you can doomscroll with both Jason and Lucia via GTA 6’s in-game phone. So, now you can not only rot in bed in real life, but also do the same with Jason and Lucia, making them much more relatable than any previous GTA protagonists.
Playing Video Games

With multiple playable arcade machines appearing in GTA 6’s “Game Store” leak, it’s pretty much confirmed that you can play video games in-game. The end of GTA 6’s second trailer also had a hilarious parody of a PS5 and DualSense controllers, so Rockstar is definitely including what Deadpool in Marvel Rivals calls “a game within a game”.
Watching TV

From the GTA 6 Extended Look, we also know you can watch in-game TV in your spare time in addition to playing games. At the beginning, when Lucia dresses up to meet Brian and Lori, Jason watches the TV for a while before they both leave. You can expect satirical ads and other media to play on the TV, in true Rockstar fashion.
Cage Fighting

As we’ve seen from the second GTA 6 trailer and Rockstar’s official screenshots, cage fighting might be an activity in the game. However, it seems this activity will be catered more to Lucia, as in both the screenshots and the second trailer, she’s the one kicking butt inside cages.
Backyard Wrestling

Jason doesn’t exactly seem like the fighting type, and one scene from the GTA 6 Extended Look proves it. During a brief gameplay sequence from the presentation, he gets in a backyard wrestling match, only to be taken down and tossed onto the ground by his opponent.
However, the main draw in this gameplay section was that you can do backyard wrestling in GTA 6. We’re sure Lucia can overpower her opponents in backyard wrestling pretty quickly with her melee prowess.
Eating & Drinking

With weight mechanics returning in GTA 6, eating and drinking are expected to play a more prominent role in the game. As in RDR 2, both Jason and Lucia can purchase snacks or drinks and consume them to restore health and gain temporary buffs, as shown in the GTA 6 Extended Look.
Robbing Stores

Speaking of snacks, robbing stores is a great activity to earn some quick bucks in GTA 6. Trust, you’re gonna need all the money you can get, since GTA 6’s money will be tied to main story progression. So, this activity should help you out.
Of course, when you’re robbing stores, make sure you have your face mask on, which is a simple trick in GTA 6 to avoid a police chase.
Scuba Diving

The Florida Keys are all about ocean life, and Rockstar Games brings you closer than ever. Scuba diving is officially one of the activities in GTA 6, as seen in the Extended Look special presentation. Obviously, you’ll have an oxygen tank to help you explore the depths or search for collectibles.
Electric Scooter Rides

Lastly, you can ride electric scooters to traverse the State of Leonida in GTA 6, as seen in the Extended Look. Honestly, this might be the way to avoid the cops after you change your clothes on the fly using GTA 6’s car trunk mechanics.
Sometimes, boosting wheels won’t be the best option when you have a 6-Star Wanted Level. You need something more discreet, and an electric scooter will give you exactly that. Change your clothes, find an electric scooter, and hit the pedal.
And that ends our list of all the activities in GTA 6 that we could spot from the trailers, official screenshots, and the Extended Look on Netflix. Did you find a new one? Share it with us in the comments below.
