Rockstar Games is known for taking combat to another level, and the upcoming GTA 6 title will surely prove it. With fans eagerly waiting for GTA 6 Trailer 3, the existing trailers and promotional content have already revealed dozens of firearms that will be available at launch. So, check this guide to learn about all the GTA 6 weapons confirmed so far, organized by their specific category. We’ve also included the customization options as seen in the official Rockstar footage.

GTA 6 Handguns List

Handguns remain one of the most versatile GTA 6 weapons. Quick to draw, easy to conceal, and ideal during missions that require quick mobility and faster escapes. Throughout the official trailers and screenshots, we have already seen multiple sidearms ranging from semi-automatic pistols to powered revolvers. That said, here are all the confirmed GTA 6 handguns:

Girardi ES9

The Girardi ES9 is one of the first handguns officially shown by Rockstar and appears to be based on the real-world Beretta 92FS. The gun serves as a reliable semi-automatic pistol with excellent accuracy and magazine capacity.

The official screenshots for the gun, as shown by Rockstar, confirm the special custom skin you can obtain after pre-ordering the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition. Other than that, the attachment options include a suppressor, a flashlight, an extended magazine, and different weapon finishes.

Heavy Pistol M1911 Variant

The Heavy Pistol returns in GTA 6, and the design is heavily inspired by the classic M1911. As the name suggests, the weapon focuses more on raw power than firing speed. So consider using it in situations where you’re fighting against the armored enemies.

Although there is no official confirmation from Rockstar yet, players might be able to customize the barrel, grips, and exterior finishes to personalize their firearm. With the improved lighting and reflections shown so far, using a heavy pistol like this will look even better if the GTA 6 graphics settings leak hints turn out to be true.

Klose K17

The Klose K17 appears to be GTA 6’s equivalent of the popular Glock pistol. It has a lightweight frame and comes with fast follow-up shots. Among the several customization options, such as suppressors, optics, and extended magazines, you can also get the special Lucia variant after purchasing the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition. This is one of the biggest reasons why I am buying the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition, and you probably should too.

Hawk and Little Morgan Revolver

The Hawk and Little Morgan revolvers are originally from the Vercetti mansion in GTA Vice City. You can also get the gun reference from the most popular character in Red Dead Redemption, Arthur ‘Morgan,’ and the red-tailed ‘Hawk,’ based on his character arc.

The most unique things about these revolvers are their looks, particularly the Hawk that comes with a long barrel, while the Little Morgan comes with a powerful scope. While both revolvers are packed with Vice City nostalgia, it makes me wonder: will Tommy Vercetti be in GTA 6?

Mustang .357 Revolver

The Mustang .357 is inspired by the iconic Colt Python and delivers exceptional stopping power with every trigger pull. This is a classic pepperpot pistol that can be effective in eliminating smaller groups of enemies when you are sure about inflicting some well-placed shots.

While there are some customization options, such as barrel finishes and custom grips, the slower reload speed may require careful timing when you’re encountering some intense battles. These classic revolvers perfectly match the nostalgic atmosphere of long-time fans, and since I grew up with Vice City, GTA 6 feels like coming back home again.

Nipper .38 Revolver

The Nipper .38 is a compact handgun that appeared multiple times in Rockstar’s GTA 6 artwork, and is something that we have mostly seen in Lucia’s hands till now. This pistol is supposed to be based on the real-world Bersa Firestorm 380.

Although you might notice the reduced raw power or strength in this gun compared to the Mustang .357 revolver, it becomes the perfect beginner-friendly option with very little recoil and reduced handling time.

Pistol

The standard pistol remains the most straightforward sidearm in GTA 6, but Rockstar has revealed very little about its specific model, let alone the in-game stats. This will most likely be the basic handgun available to players early in the story. Unlike other guns, you can always pull this out for everyday encounters and some random street fights. So, if you want to try these weapons yourself, learning about GTA 6 preloads will be of much aid to you.

GTA 6 Shotguns List

Whether you’re clearing out a hideout, defending yourself in cramped hallways, or simply want to wreak havoc on the streets, shotguns have always delivered unmatched power. Rockstar has confirmed at least two shotguns through the official screenshots, now that we have the GTA 6 pre-orders out. So these are the shotguns among the GTA 6 weapons:

Double-Barreled Shotgun

Some customization options, as shown in the official Rockstar artwork, hint at premium wood finishes and extended mags as well. Its rugged design fits the game’s survival aspect really well, and it is among the features that GTA 6 should borrow from Red Dead Redemption 2.

Pump Action Shotgun

The Pump Action Shotgun remains one of the most dependable weapons in the GTA franchise. We have seen the gun in nearly every GTA game, starting from GTA 3 to GTA 5 and the Online version as well.

Whether you’re clearing buildings or defending yourself against the law, this shotgun provides a powerful performance. Close-range encounters in dark interiors can become even more immersive now that we know visual upgrades are confirmed, as seen in the GTA 6 retail listing. You might be able to attach extended magazine tubes, tactical flashlights, and upgrade its stock as well.

GTA 6 Machine Guns and SMG List

Submachine guns are a sweet spot between pistols and assault rifles, making them ideal for vehicle combat and fast-moving shootouts like the popular heists. Compact SMG

The Compact SMG is a returning lightweight automatic weapon based on the Scorpion Mini SMG. This gun is the perfect choice when you’re on a vehicle chase, whether you’re driving or riding as a passenger. These vehicle chases will most likely be a major part of the campaign, since GTA 6 won’t launch with GTA Online and is confirmed to be a single-player experience.

There may not be a lot of raw damage; however, you’ll be surprised by the fast handling and the high rate of fire. With this gun, you can expect suppressors and extended magazines, thereby customizing it for stealth missions.

Micro SMG

The Micro SMG is a fan-favorite rapid-performance gun based on the iconic Mini Uzi. It has been one of the earliest automatic weapons in the franchise. A confirmed customization option in this gun is the GTA 6 Vintage Vice City pack exclusive skin (inspired by Tommy Vercetti) that you can obtain once you purchase the pre-order. If you’re on a bike ride and want a firearm to deal with your enemies, get the Micro SMG, and you’re all set.

Heckler & Koch SMG (MP5)

Heckler & Koch is inspired by the legendary MP5, and the only weapon when you want something with a perfect balance of firepower and accuracy. Compared to the smaller SMGs, this gun can provide you with improved accuracy and controllable recoil.

The tactical upgrades that you can expect in this gun include suppressors, foregrips, and optical sights.

GTA 6 Assault Rifles List

Assault Rifle (AK-47)

The classic assault rifle appeared once on the Grand Theft Auto cover box art from GTA 1 to GTA 6, but stayed in the game all along. It is inspired by the legendary AK-47 returns in GTA 6, and it is best known for the high damage output and flexibility.

If you prefer aggressive gunfights over stealth, or let’s just say that you messed up a perfectly silent stealth mission, then bringing out your AK-47 naturally becomes the only option. Although there are no official screenshots from Rockstar, you can expect extended magazines, drum magazines, and custom finishes.

Carbine Rifle (AR-15/HK416)

The Carbine Rifle returns as one of the most versatile firearms in GTA 6. It draws inspiration from the AR-15 and HK416. The rifle has an excellent balance between accuracy, recoil control, and fire rate. In addition to all these advantages, you can get some custom attachments like optics, foregrips, adjustable stocks, and more.

So, why not let the AK-47 rest a bit and grab something of more value? Even if you’re skeptical about this gun, wait for some time, and once the tr comes out, you can get more information on new weapons.

Carbine Rifle Mk II

We did a complete GTA 6 cover art breakdown, and the Carbine Rifle Mk II is one of the couple of firearms shown there. The upgraded Carbine Mk II appears to build upon the standard version, offering an improved version of its predecessor. With heavy barrels and an advanced scope, you can easily consider this rifle for long-range encounters, bank heists, and missions with a high duration.

Service Carbine (M16A1/M16A2)

The classic M16A1 and M16A2 have inspired this gun, and the Service Carbine returns with its old-school appearance. It easily bridges the gap between a vintage military firearm and a modern tactical weapon.

Some of them will include taking out enemies from hundreds of metres away, and this is exactly where the sniper rifles come into play. Bolt Action Sniper (Remington 700)

The Bolt Action Sniper is a high-precision rifle, as confirmed by Rockstar’s official artworks. It is inspired by the Remington 700 platform, and the weapon mainly focuses on maximum accuracy and damage, instead of faster fire rates.

Some of the customization options that you can expect include heavy barrels, bipods, and camouflage skins. Now that we have seen the stunning Vice City skyline in GTA 6, the gun is perfect for some long-range sniping in these regions.

M14-style Rifle (Springfield M1A)

The M14 rifle, inspired by the Springfield M1A, offers the perfect balance of a traditional sniper rifle and a battle rifle. If you want a strong long-range gun without relying on bolt-action mechanics, this is the go-to option for you.

Some of the expected customization options are scopes, better recoil management, and muzzle brakes. Since GTA 6 is confirmed to use RDR 2-like chapter-based story progression, you’ll need the gun in several circumstances.

Hunter Rifle (Arctic Warfare L96A1)

The Hunter Rifle is inspired by the Arctic Warfare L96A1. It has always been one of my favorite sniper guns while I was taking down the opponents in the CoD lobby due to its precision and damage output.

You might also remember it from CS: GO, but now, the gun is coming in GTA 6, and it will surely make the sniper missions a lot easier than ever. Guns like these might be one of the major reasons why the game has raised everybody’s expectations. Also, GTA 6 has forced the entire industry to move out of the way.

Ruger 10/22-inspired Rifle (Ruger 10/22)

One of the most unexpected firearms revealed in the GTA 6 official screenshots is a rifle inspired by the Ruger 10.22. While it traditionally has a small caliber, Rockstar appears to position this weapon as a lightweight precision rifle. If you want to draw out weapons and swap them quickly, consider taking this gun with you.

GTA 6 Launchers List

Sometimes, when you fail to complete a mission with precision and while being incognito, maybe a grenade or a missile launcher can be the answer. Although these weapons are less practical for everyday combat, they’re perfect for taking down vehicles or helicopters.
