Every year, the Fortnite publisher Epic Games gives away various free titles during their Christmas giveaway at their store. While their usual free game giveaway is a weekly offering, these titles take over those offerings, giving out better titles throughout their duration. And this coincides with its yearly winter sale. For this year, Epic will give away 17 free games throughout the event.
Last updated on January 4, 2024, at 8:00 AM PT (9:30 PM IST) to include the new free game on the marketplace.
Get Guardians of the Galaxy for Free on the Epic Games Store
After Plague Tale Innocence was free on the Epic Games Store, the Christmas 2023 giveaway comes to a close with Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is a single-player action-adventure game, where you control Peter Quill and his band of misfits. After a cult threatens to control all people in the entire galaxy through brainwashing, the Guardians of the Galaxy team up to save the galaxy like the heroes they are.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy will be available to claim for free start today (January 4) until January 11 on the Epic Store. After that, the next game will be up for free.

More Free Games Will Be Given Away on the Epic Games Store
The news of Epic Games giving away 17 games first came from a known insider called Blillbil Kun. They had a stellar track record of revealing titles earlier than Epic Games. However, this time, they confirmed the number of games going free for giveaway and the final giveaway date.
The first title already given away for free is Destiny 2: Legacy Collection. The last game is available to claim starting January 4, 2024. Epic Games confirmed this in its official blog post, as 17 games will be given away while the event will wrap up on January 10.

It’s really good that they have this kind of games giveaway. But gah, I missed Destiny 2 and the rest until Fallout 3. Happy with that, so at least something to dig into.
with the destiny 2 giveaway, that was unexpected and amazing. Can’t say what follows will be great. last year wasn’t that great either…but we can’t really complain too much about it. It’s FREE! won’t lie though, a little disappointed so far.
