State-run telecom service provider BSNL has also joined the race to cash in on the Indian Premier League by launching a new 153GB data plan at just Rs. 258. The new data plan from BSNL comes with a 51-day validity, according to a recent report from Gadgets Now. The new plan will be available from today until April 30 across the country.
Announcing the launch of the new plan, BSNL in a statement said:
“BSNL presents IPL pack Unlimited data STV-258 for prepaid mobile customers which give unlimited data (3 GB data per day) with a validity of 51 days during period of IPL cricket match. This will be useful for our subscriber to stream live IPL matches at a very economical rate”.
Other telecom service providers in the country have also launched new plans ahead of the IPL season. Earlier this week, Reliance Jio Infocomm announced the Jio Cricket Festival under which the company debuted a new Rs. 251 data plan, offering 102GB data with a validity of 51 days.
Additionally, the company also announced a Jio Cricket Play Along experience which will offer prizes worth crores to lucky players. The experience will be available in 11 languages and the company hopes to promote real-time interaction among consumers during the matches with the experience. It’s also worth noting that Jio and Airtel have partnered with Hotstar to offer free IPL 2018 viewing for all customers.
