With plenty of cards and decks swarming around in Pokemon TCG Pocket, you might feel overwhelmed about the deck you should build. If the previous expansions weren’t enough, the new Crimson Blaze Expansion introduces some of the most broken builds we’ve ever seen.
There’s a shift in the TCG Pocket Meta, and a few decks have surpassed others in terms of usability and strength. While the new decks shine brighter, some of the old decks don’t fall behind. That said, we have compiled a list of all the best Pokemon TCG Pocket decks you can use in January 2026.
Editor’s Note: This list was last updated on January 16, 2026.

| B | Decidueye EX Deck |
| C | Jolteon EX Deck |
Suicune EX Greninja Deck

The Suicune EX Greninja EX deck is one of the best water decks in Pokemon TCG Pocket. Suicune EX and Greninja are the ace of this deck. Giratina can be used as a backup damage dealer, who mostly watches Suicune and Greninja sweep matches. Professor’s Research and Poke Ball are staples for drawing cards.
We have Rare candies to evolve Froakie, Irida to heal your Pokemon, and Cyrus to switch your opponent’s card in the active spot. Lastly, Giant Cape is here for some extra HP. If you are a beginner player who has just started, this deck will be your go-to option as one of the best Pokemon TCG Pocket decks in the current meta.
Hydreigon Mega Absol EX Deck

Hydreigon Mega Absol EX Deck is an underdog. This deck can surprise opponents due to its high functionality, as one of the best dark decks in Pokemon TCG Pocket. Hydreigon is the MVP in this dark-type deck and the main damage dealer. Mega Absol EX can be used as the finisher.
Hydreigon is one of the best non-EX cards in the game, due to its high damage and quick energy generation, which sacrifices its HP. Additionally, Hydreigon, as a non-EX card, costs only one point when taken down. If you like spicy gameplay strategies, then the Hydreigon Mega Absol EX deck might be one of the best decks in Pokemon TCG Pocket for you.
Mega Blaziken EX Deck

Fire decks are everywhere, and Mega Blaziken EX is one of the best fire decks in Pokemon TCG Pocket that you can build. You can quickly evolve your Torchic into Mega Blaziken EX, and KO opponents’ Pokemon before they can even breathe.
You can pair Mega Blaziken with Entei, Heatmor and other fire Pokemon. We have Poke Ball, Copycat and Professor’s Research for drawing cards and increasing your chances. Lillie or a Giant Cape can save your day, and Flame Patch is like a cherry on top of a cake, giving you extra energy.
Mega Altaria EX Deck

Mega Altaria EX is one of the very few psychic decks in Pokemon TCG Pocket that are easy to play, deal a lot of damage, and are good for ranked matches. Mega Altaria EX is the star of this deck, which can do consistent damage based on the number of your benched Pokemon. This is very similar to the very first Pikachu EX that we got in the game.
Indeedee EX and Sylveon EX are some of the best ones to pair in this deck, with some card drawing options like Prof Research, Poke Ball, Lisia and more. If you are a new player who wants to climb ranks, then this is one of TCG Pocket’s best decks that you can use.
Mega Lopunny EX Deck

If you are looking for the best fighting decks in Pokemon TCG Pocket, then Mega Lopunny EX can become your favourite one. This deck is very easy to build, as the cards you need have some of the highest drop rates from packs. Mega Lopunny EX can pack a punch to your opponents as it can almost KO most of the EXs, or leave them confused.
However, this comes at the cost of RNG, as you need to flip coins. To solve this problem, we have the Will Trainer card in this deck, guaranteeing you at least one head. Pair Mega Lopunny EX with Lucario, and thrash other best meta decks in Pokemon TCG Pocket.
Mega Charizard EX Deck

Mega Charizard is a fan favourite Pokemon, and the card can be used to build one of the best ranked decks Pokemon TCG Pocket. Mega Charizard Y EX deck can be a bit tricky to set up. But once done, it can one-shot almost any card in the game with its Crimson Dive attack.
Combined with the Flame Patch, a few healing cards, and a sufficient amount of card-drawing options, this deck can be used in ranked matches. If Charizard is your favourite too, then go for our best fire deck Pokemon TCG Pocket.
Mega Venusaur EX Deck

Grass decks haven’t been great lately due to the excess amount of fire decks roaming around in TCG Pocket. But, with the release of Mega Venasaur EX you can now build one of the best grass decks in Pokemon TCG Pocket that can compete with others.
Mega Venasaur EX has a very high amount of HP, and this deck makes it invincible. Lilligant, Leaf Cape or Heavy Helmet, when paired with a decent healing card, can turn Mega Vensaur EX into a monster. This is also very easy to play, making it one of the best beginner decks in Pokemon TCG Pocket. If you like seeing your opponents rage quit, then this is for you.
Oricorio Magnezone Electric Deck

Oricorio and Magnezone deck is the only deck on our list that doesn’t require any EX or Mega EX cards. This beginner deck is quite easy to play with, and the cards are also easy to obtain as they are of low rarity. With this deck, your opponents need 3 KOs to win a game, rather than aiming for the EX or Megas.
Pom-Pom Oricorio’s Ability prevents any opposing EX Pokemon from dealing damage. Magneton can generate energy very quickly, setting up your Magnezone. You can always work around with various cards and experiment with strategies to make the most out of one of the best electric decks in Pokemon TCG Pocket.
Decidueye EX Deck

Decidueye EX is a grass deck in Pokemon TCG Pocket that got buffed with the new expansion’s release. This deck can be quite difficult to use; that’s why we are ranking it lower in our list. But once you’ve mastered this deck, it can compete with some of the best decks out there.
Decidueye EX, with proper cards and strategy, can snipe your opponent’s cards that have damage on them. This can be useful to take out those key benched Pokemon. If you like sniping decks, then this might interest you.
Jolteon EX Deck

Jolteon EX deck is another one of the best electric decks in Pokemon TCG Pocket, which you can have a lot of fun with. This deck utilizes the boosted evolution Eevee card, which allows it to evolve into Jolteon in the first turn. With this, you can KO the active Pokemon of your opponent, without them being able to evolve.
Eevee Bag works best in this deck and provides buffs based on the game’s situation. If you like aggressive, fast-paced decks, then go for Jolteon EX.
While you can always adjust your best Pokemon TCG Pocket decks with your current cards, if you don’t have important ones, consider asking your friends to share those cards with you. You can even get some free hourglasses using our TCG Pocket Codes and open a few more packs.
