Count Ymir is one of the important NPCs in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, and his questline is directly tied with one of the major optional bosses in the game, Metyr Mother of Fingers. Finishing Count Ymir's quest will also unlock a secret optional boss and tons of really great rewards.

Dane's Footwork is one of the late game weapons in the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. This weapon drops from defeating Dryleaf Dane in the Followers of Miquella boss fight in Enir-Ilim. Dane's Footwork comes with the Palm Blast Ash of War, but it can be changed to any supported Ashes of War.

Bayle the Dread is one of the strongest bosses in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, and the strongest dragon boss in the soulsborne franchise. He is very aggressive and has a wide variety of move set. Bayle the Dread's weak point is its head, which takes double the damage compared to rest of its body.

Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame is one of the best boss fights in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. The atmosphere of the fight and the path leading to it perfectly sets the stage. He is also one of the easier bosses in the game and can be poise broken fairly easily.

Backhand Blade is one of the early game weapons in the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. This weapon can be found East of the Three Path Cross Site of Grace, on a Sarcophagus. The Backhand Blade comes with the Blind Spot Ash of War, but it can be changed to any supported Ash of War.

Completing the Elden Ring Thiollier questline requires you to defeat him, the Putrescent Knight, Followers of Miquella, and Promised Consort Radahn. You will need to reach the Garden of Deep Purple and Imbibe Nectar from St. Trina to learn all her dialogues and repeat them to Thiollier. Finally, you will have to summon Thiollier against Followers of Miquella and Promised Consort of Radahn to finish his questline.

Jagged Peaks is one of the optional areas in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree and it has one of the best dragon bosses in the Soulsborne franchise. You need to clear the Dragon's Pit to unlock the path to the Foot of the Jagged Peaks. From the Foot of the Jagged Peaks, you can either head left to reach the Bayle the Dread boss fight, or go right to the Grand Alter of Dragon Communion. 

Miquella's followers will fight against the player just before the final boss room. The followers will spawn in one-by-one and you need to defeat all of the in battle royal to win the fight. Obtain Leda's sword and the armor and weapon sets of all of Miquella's followers.

You must Imbibe Nectar when interacting with St. Trina if you want to progress his and Thioller's quest. Imbibing the Nectar will make you fall into deep sleep, which will kill your character. But, you will respawn as normally happens after a death in Elden Ring. You can leave without Imbibing the Nectar and return to progress the quest anytime, except after burning the Sealing Tree.

You can lower the water level in the Shadow Keep District Church to unlock the path to the option boss Scadutree Avatar. To lower the Water Level, make your over the rooftops to the water lever and use it. Lowering the Water Level will also allow players to fight the Ulcerated Tree Spirit in the submerged Church section and obtain the Mantle of Thorns Incantation. 

The Elden Ring Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword is located in the Ruined Forge of Starfall Past. It is a colossal weapon with a thrusting attack pattern and the White Light Charge Ash of War. This weapon is one of the best early game DLC weapons you should get in Shadow of the Erdtree.

Abyssal Woods in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is home to the Midra Manse Legacy Dungeon where you can fight Midra, Lord of the Frenzied Flames. To reach Abyssal Woods, you must first reach the Castle Watering Hole Site of Grace from Shadow Keep. After that you must reach and clear Darklight Catacombs to get access to the Abyssal Woods.

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree adds 40+ new bosses to the base game. There are 7 main campaign bosses that you must defeat to progress and finish the story of the DLC. The majority of the content in the DLC is in the option bosses and areas, which adds context to the lore of the Lands Between and Realm of Shadows.

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree adds a ton of new Incantations to the game, which flips the Faith build meta we have been used to in the game. Out of the many incantations found in the Realm of Shadows, here I have selected the absolute best and easy to use incantations. Try them out and completely change your faith build in Elden Ring.

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree's map size is roughly the size of Limgrave, Caelid and a large part of Liurnia put together. This naturally means the game will be huge. It will take about 30 hours to beat Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree's campaign. To complete everything in the DLC, it is estimated it will take about 70 hours.

Radahn, Consort of Miquella boss fight is located at the end of Enir-Ilim. He is the final boss of Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. Players must defeat Miquella's followers first to access the Radahn fight in the DLC. This boss fight is extremely hard, even with summons, because Radahn has a massive health bar and does very high damage with each of his attacks.

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree has added many gorgeous armor sets to the game with unique stats and effects. Here I have picked 8 of the best armor sets we have found in the game so far. Don't be tied down to this list and feel free to pick any armor set added to the DLC that catches your attention.

Players must burn the sealing tree to drive away the shadows from Belurat and unlock Enir-Ilim. The sealing tree is located at the south-western side of Ancient Ruins of Ruah, next to the Church of the Bud. Use Messmer's Kindling after defeating him in the Shadow Keep to burn the sealing tree.

Divine Beast Dancing Lion is the early skill check for players in the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. This boss has three different phases that it continuously rotates within a specific time frame. The Dancing Lion becomes a lot easy while fighting without locking-on to it.

Golden Hippopotamus is one of the difficult fights in the DLC, but for all the wrong reasons. Stay at the center of the boss room at all times and don't locking on the boss to avoid bad camera angles. Bleed and Frost builds works great on the Golden Hippopotamus, alongside side Strength builds.

Messmer the Impaler is located in the Shadow Keep on Scadu Altus. The path to his chambers is very tricky to find. He can be found in his chambers, located at one of the top floors at Specimen Storehouse in Shadow Keep. To reach Messmer, you need to reach the Specimen Storehouse back section and then use the lever to create a path to the boss chamber.

Messmer is a very difficult boss with aggressive and quick attack patterns. Stay at a mid-range from him at all times, which will give you ample time to dodge or close in for attacks. Most of Messmer's attacks have very tight dodge timings, so do not panic roll while fighting him. Messmer transforms into a serpent after his HP drops below 50%, changing his attack pattern and making him more lethal.
