Arc Raiders Frozen Trail, the biggest update since the game’s launch, will release on October 8, 2026. Embark Studios has revealed the release date of the Frozen Trail update today, along with major new details about the upcoming map in Arc Raiders.
Embark Studios has officially confirmed in a new blog post that the Arc Raiders Frozen Trail update will arrives on October 8, 2026. Earlier this year, Embark announced that the studio is shifting to a two-updates-per-year strategy and that the next Frozen Trail update would be released sometime in October.
As we near the launch of the next big update, Embark has finally revealed the release date alongside new details about the frozen map. Raiders will be called upon to explore a frozen settlement after Shani received a signal from beyond the mountains. The new map is home to abandoned villages, factories, research facilities, an observatory, and more. So it will definitely be bigger than Riven Tides.
Aleksander Grøndal, the Executive Producer of Arc Raiders, has now confirmed that the new map comes with greater verticality, opening the doors to more exploration and dramatic encounters. “Building the new map has challenged our level design team in exciting new ways. We’ve focused on creating an ambitious environment with greater verticality, exploration, and opportunities for discovery,” Aleksander said.
He also warned the players that they cannot escape from the new ARC enemies, as the threats will be present everywhere: “You’ll encounter threats above and below ground, and navigate environments that no Raiders have seen before.” The new Frozen Trail update will feature new ARC threats ranging from tiny machines to giant ARCs, possibly even bigger than the Queen or Matriarch.
In addition to the new environment and ARC threats, Embark is also deepening the player progression system by reworking the skill tree. Furthermore, the raider den is getting expanded with the addition of the Outpost. It appears that players can decorate their space and research new ways to fight against ARC enemies here.
