Acer is one of the major laptop makers in the world and has a stronghold across all budget laptop segments. But, if you ask someone like me who’s been reviewing laptops for the last five years, the brand’s presence is especially strong in the budget to mid-range segment. The Acer Aspire Vero is one great example of a budget laptop done right and is currently available at a massive discount of $200 in an early Black Friday deal.
The Acer Aspire Vero is a 15.6-inch Windows laptop with a pretty recent i5 1335u processor that’s currently available for $429 as opposed to its regular price of $629. Acer markets it as a green PC because the outer shell of the laptop is made from mostly recycled materials.
Why Should You Buy the Acer Aspire Vero Laptop
It’s because, for the price, the Aspire Vero houses some decent internals. You have an Intel Core i5-1335U processor, 512GB SSD< 8GB DDR5 RAM, and Intel Iris Xe Graphics. Moreover, the laptop also boasts a fingerprint reader, a backlit keyboard, and 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports.
The price of $429 puts it ahead of some of the other mid-range laptops like the Asus Vivobook Go 15, which comes with a weaker processor. Most laptops in this price segment either have an older processor or lesser storage. So, the Acer Vero is pretty much the only good mid-range laptop you can get at this price.
Although we wish it had expandable RAM as 8GB is quite limited for 2024 standards. You do get a free soft carry case though, which is a plus. The only better option you could get if you spend $50 extra is the HP Victus ($879 $449), which comes with an older 12th-generation Core i5 but RTX 3050 for a much better gaming experience.
Or, if you spend $50 more, you can get the HP Victus with 13th Gen Core i5 and RTX 4050, which triumphs both the Vero and 12th Gen HP Victus. If you need something even cheaper, the Ideapad 1 for $299 (regular price of $579) is also a great deal. So, what are your thoughts on this Acer Aspire Vero early Black Friday deal?
