- We ran popular benchmark apps on the OnePlus Ace 3V, powered by the newly launched Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset.
- The new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset by Qualcomm achieved remarkable scores in Geekbench, AnTuTu, 3DMark, and more.
- The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 seems to be the new mid-range king, outranking MediaTek's beefy Dimensity 8300 Ultra chipset.
For quite some time, Qualcomm had been releasing underpowered chipsets in the 7-series segment, especially when compared to MediaTek’s Dimensity lineup. However, that is changing now with the release of the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3. We got our hands on the first smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset, the OnePlus Ace 3V from China recently. So, we put the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset to the test and ran multiple benchmarks to evaluate its performance in CPU, GPU, modem, and more.

Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3: Geekbench 6
We ran the Geekbench 6 test to evaluate the CPU performance of the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3. It achieved a single-core score of 1,747 and a multi-core score of 4,511 on the Ace 3V (see the full specs on Beebom Gadgets). This is a remarkable performance coming from a mid-range chipset.
Geekbench 6 Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 Single-core 1,747 Multi-core 4,511
In the mid-range segment, MediaTek’s Dimensity 8300 Ultra has been the leader so far, but with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, Qualcomm is finally ready to make its mark in the mid-range segment. It even comes closer to 2022’s flagship, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3: AnTuTu Score
In the AnTuTu benchmark test, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 achieved a mind-boggling score of 14,56,859. Being a 7-series chipset, it easily crosses the 1-million mark and beats the Dimensity 8300 Ultra.
You can check out the CPU, GPU, Memory, and UX scores from the AnTuTu test below.
AnTuTu Benchmark Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 AnTuTu Score 14,56,859 CPU 3,77,796 GPU 4,94,144 Memory 3,24,334 UX 2,60,585
Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3: CPU Throttling Test
In the CPU Throttling test, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 did a wonderful job and only throttled to 84% of its maximum performance. In the 15-minute test, it sustained the heavy workload on the CPU pretty well without any visible drops in performance.
We ran the test seven times to check for performance degradation over time, but it managed to keep a check on both performance and thermals. Apart from Qualcomm, the credit goes to OnePlus for baking in a large vapor chamber on the OnePlus Ace 3V aka Nord 4.
Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3: 3DMark Wild Life Extreme Stress Test
Now to test the Adreno 732 GPU on the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3, we ran the intensive 3DMark Wild Life Extreme Stress test. Again, it performed well and got the best loop score of 2,954 and the lowest loop score of 2,476 with a stability of 83.8%.
We also ran the regular Wild Life Stress test, but it maxed out which is great. Since it doesn’t have Ray Tracing support, we didn’t run the Solar Bay test.
3DMark Wild Life Extreme Stress Test | Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 |
---|---|
Best loop score | 2,954 |
Lowest loop score | 2,476 |
Stability | 83.8% |
Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3: AI Performance
Next, to assess the performance of the Hexagon NPU on the new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, we ran the AITuTu benchmark test. It got an overall score of 5,82,942. We also ran the AI Benchmark test, but strangely, it got a very low score. We are not releasing the benchmark number as it could be due to unsupported API or framework support. We also tried to run the Geekbench ML app, but it kept crashing.
Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3: 5G Speed Test
Moving to the 5G speed test, the Snapdragon X63 modem on the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 achieved a peak download speed of 382 Mbps and a peak upload speed of 24.5 Mbps. The test was performed on a Jio 5G network.
Bear in mind that since we have imported the OnePlus Ace 3V from China, there could be a lack of support for 5G bands in India. Hence, take the result with this caveat in mind.
That sums up our benchmark testing for the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3. Previously, when we compared the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 with SD 7 Gen 3 and SD 7+ Gen 2, we concluded that Qualcomm has truly developed a great mid-range chipset.
Now, the benchmark scores speak for themselves and are in line with our expectations. Qualcomm has upped its game in the mid-range segment with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3. It beats the reigning champion, the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra, and becomes the new mid-range king. After many iterations, Qualcomm has finally delivered a great 7-series chipset, and I can’t wait for OnePlus to bring the Nord 4 to India.
