Carrying forward the battle royale hype, PUBG Mobile has become one of the most popular games right now. It has amassed more than 100 million downloads on iOS and Android combined while its coffers are flooding with the influx of revenue from the Royale Pass.
The first Royale Pass was debuted alongside the massive, much-important 0.6.0 update and since completed two successful runs. Season 2 came to a close on August 19 and PUBG Mobile is now gearing up to kick off Season 3 later this week.
Yes, as confirmed by PUBG Mobile’s Indonesian Facebook page, the third season royale poss will be available from August 22. It further adds that your RP points, data levels, and leaderboards will be reset for this season but you will see that the permanent items that unlocked in earlier seasons are still available to you.
A loose translation of PUBG Mobile’s Indonesian blog post on Facebook reads as under:
Royale Pass ends on August 19 at 0:00 UTC. After that, players cannot enter the Royale Pass service [and] redeem prizes, get RP points, and so on. The new season will start on August 22 at 2:00 UTC (7:30 IST). [The] RP points, data levels, and leaderboard will be reset.
Another important piece of info that die-hard PUBG Mobile fans should know is that you’ll be required to buy a new ticket for the upcoming season. It’s only then that you will be able to access the new items, skins, and emotes that would be included in this season.
And if you don’t, you will still get access to two free emotes, i.e angry and surrender, that you will need to unlock by completing missions and gaining RP points. The rumor mill has also suggested that the 0.8.0 update will also bring along the smaller ‘Sanhok’ map to the mobile game.
