Earlier this month, Xiaomi officially lifted the covers off its new sub-brand Pocophone and shortly after the company’s lead product manager Jai Mani started tweeting about the brand, a bunch of leaks revealed the sub-brand’s first smartphone and most of its specifications.
While neither Xiaomi nor Pocophone have revealed much about the upcoming Poco F1, in terms of hardware specifications and pricing, the leaks have pretty much revealed everything there is to the smartphone.
Now, a web page on Flipkart dedicated to the upcoming smartphone has confirmed some of the rumors. According to the web page in question, the upcoming Poco F1 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and the company will make use of a LiquidCool Technology to keep the device running at full tilt without any issues whatsoever.
Xiaomi has roped in Indian badminton star PV Sindhu for the promotional campaign of the phone, again emphasizing the speed of the phone.
The listing is in line with earlier leaks which said the Poco F1 will feature Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. Considering the fact that Jai Mani has already mentioned that the upcoming device will be all about speed, it’s also safe to assume that the RAM specs are more or less accurate.
The Pocophone Poco F1 is scheduled for launch in India on August 22, with rumors also claiming that the smartphone will feature a 5.99-inch FHD+ display with a notch and will be priced around the 420 euros mark.
If the rumors turn out to be true, then the upcoming Poco F1 will be the cheapest flagship device in the market upon release, posing stiff competition to the likes of the OnePlus 6 and the Asus ZenFone 5Z.
