Thankfully, today’s NYT Connections puzzle relied on garden-variety terms, which made it easy enough to solve. Nonetheless, I predictably began solving the Yellow category first since I love teasing people.

The Green category came next, and I confess I was clueless about this one. The only one I knew was Tenderloin, but there was nothing a little Googling couldn’t fix. The Blue category was a dead giveaway once I combined MIA and OMG.

While I didn’t need help with the Purple category, combining the last four words did the job along with solving the NYT Connections puzzle for May 12.
