More than a week and a large petition later, we have got the result of this year’s mob vote. The mob that’s going to be added to the game in the next major Minecraft update has just been announced during the Minecraft Live 2023 event. So everyone, please make some noise for the winner of Minecraft Mob Vote 2023 – Armadillo!
Mob Vote 2022 Winner: Armadillo is Coming to Minecraft
Yes, that’s right everybody, armadillo is the new mob that’s coming to the game with the Minecraft 1.21 update next year! This cute animal will live in the warm climate of savanna biomes. Moreover, it will drop scute items and players will be able to use them to craft armor for their tamed wolves in Minecraft. This will make your loyal companions even more useful and strong in the fights against hostile mobs. Also, if the armor is dyable just like the horse’s is, then your doggos will even look fancy while slaying the mobs!
Will the armadillos drop these items when they grow up, similarly to turtles? Or perhaps when a different condition is met? We don’t know that just yet, but we’ll make sure to inform you of any news that the Mojang team announces regarding the mob. Ah yes. A second year of creators swinging the vote for their BS beliefs. Crab is the only one that should have won. penguin was trash to start, and its like 10% of players who actually will use dog armor of the 10% that have or use dogs enough to justify. Its a niche thing that doesnt have much use. Crab claw is a universal thing, everyone builds and breaks blocks and its retarded creators have this much lean. #stopthemobvote.

I agree, but how hard is it to build up 3 blocks to where you need, the crab claw would have had a minor change but the armadillo will have a pretty major change depending to what kind of player you are, the fact that I am a builder is saying something
I believe the crab should have won, even though the wolf armor could help in battle I believe that the crab claw could’ve helped with building the bases in survival, the crab claw could’ve sped up the base building speed and given us more time to collect supplies, while the armadillo scute can be made into wolf armor, they live no where near each other, which means you would have to spend a painful amount of time searching for both of them. Either way I think that both are pretty cool and I can’t wait to see the new update!
