Palworld is currently one of the best survival open-world games out there. However, like any other open-world title, it is full of a lot of different materials. One of those materials is leather, a precious resource that will help you craft a lot of different things. However, it’s not easy to find it since you don’t really stumble on it. To ensure you’re not lost, we have created a dedicated guide to help you get leather in Palworld. So, without further ado, let’s begin.

The first thing you should know is that you cannot produce leather in Palworld as of now. However, there are two good options to get it; the first being hunting.

Method 1: Get Leather by Hunting Pals

Kill pal to get leather in Palworld

As heartbreaking as this sounds, a simple method to get leather in Palworld is by hunting Pals. You will find that certain Pals in Palworld drop leather once eliminated. You can get leather from a lot of Pals but a few good starters are Foxpark, Vixy, and Rushroat. We have listed all of them below.

Begin by crafting a weapon from the crafting table. Once done, simply start hitting them until they drop dead. The best starter pal to get leather from is Foxpark. You will generally find them in the area marked below around noon or before evening.

You’ll generally find Foxparks in this particular area.

Once the Foxpark is defeated, it will drop leather. If you want even more then you can butcher it to get an additional drop. However, that requires a level 12 meat cleaver. Besides Foxpark, here are the most common Pals in Palworld that drop leather upon their death:

While finding a village merchant can be a task, you can collect leather from the merchants located in the small village on the island. They will sell you leather for 150 gold.

Refer to the map location above to find the nearest village. Ensure you’ve interacted with the fast-travel zone and talk with the merchant wearing red robes. Speaking to him will open up the option to buy items, which includes leather.
