After launching its Boat Rockerz 275 Bluetooth earphones in India last week, Boat Lifestyle has now announced the Boat Rockerz 265 wireless pedometer earphones in the country. Marketed at sports enthusiasts and those with active lifestyles, the device has a lightweight build, and comes with an Over-ear Memory Wire form-factor that shapes around the ear for a comfortable and secure fit.
In a press statement, the co-founder of Boat Lifestyle, Aman Gupta, said “The sports earphones integrate into the user’s lifestyle and define a fashion statement. boAt understand the pulse of the millennial generation and offers fashionable and quality audio products to its loyalist community”.
Hardware Specifications
The Boat Rockerz 265 comes with an in-ear design that the company claims will provide perfect noise-isolation “while delivering clear and dynamic sound”. It has Bluetooth v4.1 connectivity, and comes with 10mm dynamic drivers. It has a frequency range of 20Hz – 20,000 Hz. It also has an impedance of 32ohm, and a sound-to-noise ratio of 102dB at 1KHz.
Most interestingly, the Boat Rockerz 265 comes with a built-in pedometer that allows users to keep record of their fitness activity and get instant notifications. It’s also apparently “smart enough to tell you exactly how many calories you have burnt and the distance you have covered”, claims the company.
The earphones comply with the A2DP V1.2 and AVRCP V1.4 standards, and come with a 120mAh rechargeable Li-Polymer battery that the company claims will deliver around 7-8 hours of uninterrupted usage on a single charge and a standby time of up to 220 hours. The device can apparently get fully charged in just 1.5 hours, and is said to draw enough juice in 20 minutes for a run-time of 1-2 hours.
Additional Features
The Boat Rockerz 265 also comes with an IPX4 rating that denotes resistance to dust and water. What it means in real-life is that the device will not be affected by sweat or the occasional droplets of rain, although, you’ll do well to keep it out of a swimming pool. The earphones can also be connected with two phones or two Bluetooth devices at the same time, which will enable users to take calls from their phone even when streaming music from their computer.

The Boat Rockerz 265 comes with an MRP of Rs. 3,490, but is currently available for purchase on Amazon India for Rs. 1,999. It comes with a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase.
