During the ongoing Mi Fan Fest sale, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has launched Mi Gift Cards in India. The Mi Gift Cards have been launched in partnership with Qwikcilver, a prepaid cards solutions provider. According to The Indian Express, Xiaomi’s Mi Gift Cards can have a minimum value of Rs. 100 to a maximum value of Rs. 10,000 and can be used to purchase products on the company’s website.
Xiaomi is currently offering customized Mi Gift Cards for occasions like birthdays, weddings, etc. and users also have the option to completely customize their gift card by uploading their own design or photo to the website. The Mi Gift Cards can be sent via email and instantly add the credit to the recipient’s Mi account. Users can redeem up to 10 Mi Gift Cards for a single purchase, which is great for those looking to buy a product that costs more than Rs. 10,000.
The Mi Gift Cards can be purchased from a dedicated page on Xiaomi India’s website and buyers will have to fill in card details like sender’s information, recipient’s information, and a message while purchasing a gift card.
After choosing the amount for the gift card, buyers can also choose a specific delivery date before previewing the gift card and checking out. Xiaomi Mi Gift Cards can be purchased using credit or debit cards, EMI on credit cards, and even via UPI. However, buyers will not be able to purchase the gift cards using international cards, wallets, cardless EMI or cash backs.
In order to redeem a Mi Gift Card, the recipient will first need to log in to their Mi account and then head to the My Account section on the Mi Store app. There, they can select the ‘Add Gift Card’ option and enter the 16 digit gift card code followed by a 6 digit pin they receive on mail. The Mi Gift Card will then be added to their account and the user will have 12 months from the date of issue to redeem the amount.
